The location is perfect, the views are stunning . It has immediate access to golf, swimming, walking etc. It is within easy reach of Edinburgh and the historical town Berwick-upon-Tweed. For me it is wonderful place to relax and enjoy the wonderful Scottish countryside.
A rural setting with the benefits of modern living - WIFI, central heating, wetroom, fabulous kitchen
We loved staying at the cottage. It was immaculate throughout and we found the log burning fire a really nice addition during our winter stay. The walks from the house are amazing. The owners were really helpful and ensured we had checked in ok. The neighbours took good care of us too! Thanks for the stay.
Very comfortable property.Every detail had been thought about.Thank you for the white wine and welcome pack.Very thoughtful and nice touch.Very comfortable bed.A real home from home.We will be back!
The house is beautifully appointed and kept - spacious, with high-quality materials and workmanship throughout, very good levels of equipment, interesting books on the shelves, DVDs in the cupboard and pictures on the walls. It was very clean and everything felt fresh and well looked-after. It feels both luxurious and like a family home. We've stayed in many holiday cottages and this is definitely among the very best. The view of St Abbs and the sea is lovely, as is the panorama over the rolling country inland. A short walk up the road brings you to a track that leads to the cliff tops and thence, north or south, to Coldingham (perfect small beach) and St Abbs Head (grand cliffs and thousands of birds) or to Eyemouth (great fish and chips) and beyond. Berwick is a fascinating and handsome town; Holy Island, Bamburgh and the Farnes a magnificent, long day out; Edinburgh is an hour away. We had a wonderful week and would strongly recommend the property to families looking for comfort and quiet in a beautiful, varied and unspoiled part of the country.
This is a delightful property in a lovely locations. Facilities inside the cottage could not be faulted with a great kitchen and peaceful bedrooms. The views are amazing with interesting walks down to the shore from your door step and a wealth of wildlife including hares in the surrounding fields. The walk to St Abbs' along the shore was perfect. We found a number of interesting places to visit within a 50 mile radius including Dunbar, North Berwick and Berwick upon Tweed. All-in-all a small piece of heaven to which we will return.
