“La Hacienda” is a beautiful luxury detached private Spanish villa in a privileged quiet location yet within walking distance to both the town of Jalon and village of Lliber. The villa is on a flat south west facing 2000m2 plot on one level completely secure and walled in. In addition to the wonderful mature gardens the villa boasts the most amazing outside areas to include, large 12m x 5m saltwater pool with pool slide, hot and cold shower, summer bar with TV and freeview satellite and kitchen with fridges, freezer, dishwasher, gas range oven and separate gas BBQ, children´s play house with swings and slide, trampoline, pool table area, table tennis area, grass lawn with football net,, large terrace and sunbathing areas, impressive stone pillared pergola dining area that seats 12, outside casita with toilet and changing area, plus several other al fresco dining and relax areas. The pergola, summer bar, kitchen and pool can all be lit ideal for night time entertaining and swimming. A stunning enclosed open air courtyard at the front of the villa accessed via majestic wooden doors provides an additional breakfasting or dining area with retractable awning shade and the courtyard can also be lit at night.

The villa consists of the main house area which sleeps 8. Master bedroom with kingsize bed, en-suite with free standing bath and walk in shower, and patio doors to the pool, terracing and garden areas, adjacent twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, separate guest toilet, large and luxurious fully fitted kitchen dining and family room, separate utility room, huge main lounge and a glazed naya overlooking the courtyard leading to twin bedroom with large 120cm twin beds and master bedrooom with superking size bed. Guest house annex which sleeps 2 with a kitchen, guest toilet, lounge dining room and separate master bedroom with en-suite. The guest house is accessed internally via a shared utility room but can be closed off internally as it has its´ own front door access from the courtyard and patio doors from the lounge to the pool, garden and terracing areas making the villa ideal for two families if wishing to share. The guest house annex is not suitable for children.

The villa has air conditioning in all bedrooms, internet access, freeview satellite TV, mosquito nets on all windows, fly screens on all patio doors and private gated off street parking.

In additional to the outside amenities there is also an Xbox 360 with a small selection of games, a selection of board games, a variety of books for summer reading a selection of DVD´s.

La Hacienda is truly “something special” and whilst already decorated to a very high and luxurious standard.

The villa is registered with the Valencia Tourist Board - Ref AT-444538-A. This is a compulsory requirement when holiday renting out your villa and gives you peace of mind when making your booking.

The €500 Security Bond is to cover any damage to the property, excessive cleaning or its contents/fixtures and fittings. Upon your departure we would expect you to leave the property in a reasonably clean and tidy condition so that we can efficiently prepare it for the next guests and all rubbish to be removed from the premises. If we incur extra costs for rubbish removal or for excessive cleaning then we reserve the right to retain your security bond to cover such costs and once deductions have been made we will refund you any balance due. We will discuss any deductions with you before returning the security deposit. If you have complied with the above and left the villa in a reasonable condition then the €500 Security Bond will be refunded to you at the end of the rental period once a final inspection has taken place.

About Jacqueline

My husband and I have lived here for 12 years and our son was born here. We fell in love with the area having spent two years looking for the perfect place and home to live our dream in Spain. We love the way of life here which is as far removed from that of living the corporate life in the fast lane in the UK which we used to do. Here we embrace the Spanish way of life where children come first and foremost and are welcome in all bars, restaurants etc., where you don´t have to leave when it gets to 9pm, family mean everything! Of course having a climate which is recognised as one of the best in the world by the World Health Organisation does help as does an average 320 days of sunshine per year!

Why Jacqueline chose Jalon Valley

We fell in love with the villa when we first saw it and over the years have renovated and enhanced the villa into our dream family home. Our villa has played host to many a party evening over the years as the outside areas provide the perfect party venue! In the summer months we have family staying at what they lovingly call Hotel Hacienda as that is what it is really a "Hotel" as we have done everything to ensure that our visiting family and friends are entertained and have everything they need to enjoy their stay with us. To the point that trying to get rid of them or encourage them to leave the villa and go out proves very difficult as they always say "Why? we´ve got everything we need here!" With some family members getting older and their circumstances changing the villa is really too big just for the 3 of us in the summer. So we thought why be greedy keeping it all to ourselves, why don´t we rent it out to other families who will hopefully enjoy the villa and all the facilities as we have, make happy memories and hopefully come back time and time again.

What makes this villa unique

The villa is on a flat plot within walking distance to both Jalon and Lliber. It is very private and has fabulous panoramic views. The swimming pool is salt water comes with a pool slide and lights up for night time swimming. The outside summer bar and kitchen provide everything you need so you can cook outside and not miss out on what the family are doing. We never cook inside the house in the summer months as we are always either cooking on the BBQ, cooking a paella or eating out! Who wants to be a slave inside the house to the oven in a hot kitchen in the summer, not me! We even cook breakfast outside as you have the paella pan which you can use to cook a full English breakfast in the huge pan for all the family in one go! For families sharing you have the Main House and the Guest House which both have their own front door access for privacy but can be accessed internally via the shared utility room.

We had such a super time! The villas was, quick frankly, amazing and we'd love to return there again soon. We enjoyed visiting a more rural part of Spain this year but that as it was within easy reach of more popular areas, such as Calpe, Denia, Altea and Javea, it was a good mix of the two. The standard of the property was absolutely superb and we will most definitely booking again next year. We generally visit Spain twice a year and so will be starting our hunt for another trip around November. M.T.

The Jalon Valley offers a taste of "Real Spain", an area dubbed Costa Blanca´s “Jewel in the Crown” by the British travel press.The area is a cyclists and climbers paradise with the best climbing on the Costa Blanca and bikes can be hired locally with roads perfect to enjoy all types of cycling as an enthusiast or as family fun. The Jalon Valley is also a walker's paradise ranging from a very gentle stroll to a six hour walk around the Sierra Bernia mountains to the south of Jalon. If you get bored or lying around the pool there are plenty of activities inland such as Horse Riding and only a 10 min drive from the villa is VitaParc with zip wire, rope bridges, archery, obstacle courses, horse riding and trekking and Cueva de Las Calaveras, locally known as the Caves of Skulls, are one of many local places to visit. In the summer months of July and August Jalon has it´s main Summer Fiesta which has activities for children and adults to join in or to just watch with shows, live music, processions and firework displays. The village of Lliber which is also within walking distance of the villa has it´s summer Fiesta in August just as the Jalon one finishes and again offers live music, events, the renowned street water fight and in our opinion the best local firework display which can be enjoyed by standing outside the villa without having to walk anywhere! Calpe beach is a 15 minute drive away and has a giant inflatable aqua park in the sea all summer for children and the young at heart to enjoy as does Denia beach which is a 20 minute drive. Other beaches and coves are all within a 20 to 30 minute drive. Oliva Go Karting is a 20 min drive, various Golf Courses are within a 20 to 30 minute drive away, for the more adventurous Terra Mitica Theme Park is a 30 minute drive away and is one of the largest theme parks in Europe, and in and around the same area you have Terra Natura animal park and Aqua Natura family water park, plus Aqualandia Water Park and Mundomar Aquatic Animal Park. From Denia you can go on daily boat trips, evening sunset Catamaran trips, hire boats and even take the Ferry to go on a day trip to the beautiful island of Formentera. A trip to Castell de Guadelest is a must and a 40 minute drive away and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Spain with a Castle, Tower, Church, Jail, Museum and lots of souvenir shops and places to eat and drink and to look down onto the most spectacular reservoir and to enjoy the most wonderful and picturesque views. On the way to or from a trip to Guadalest you must visit Les Fonts d´Algar waterfalls where you can go for a swim in the natural mountain water and take a picnic. Valencia is only a 1hr drive away and should you wish to visit further afield whilst being a fabulous city to explore you have L´Oceanographic (City of Arts & Science) to enjoy and Gullivers Park childrens` play area in the dry riverbed which has been transformed into a wonderful park to walk around or hire family bikes to explore. The villa really is in a perfect place to stay close to yet far away from the madding tourist crowds of the coastal resorts. The area is both Spanish and International which is reflected in the bars and restaurants which offer both traditional and international cuisine to suit everyone. Most restaurants also offer a "para llevar" / "takeaway" service so if you don´t feel like cooking you can enjoy freshly prepared food in the comfort of the villa. Every Saturday Jalon is host to it´s famous Rastro market where you can buy literally anything clothes, food, leather goods, souvenirs, antiques and bric a brac. In the summer months there are also local Artesan markets on Saturday evenings selling local produce such as bread, cheese and various other food and drink items plus handmade jewellery, bags etc. Jalon harvests and produces it´s own local wines which you can buy in the bodega´s and in the local Co-Operative Bodega you can try before you buy. The local Mas y Mas supermarket, bodegas and souvenir shops are open half days on a Sunday too in Jalon and you can buy daily English newspapers in one of the local shops including on a Sunday.

This is a luxury villa in a perfect location to ensure a wonderful family holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the busy and packed tourist coastal resorts, but still within a short 15 to 20 minute drive to nearby beaches. Inland you are spoilt for choice with an array of restaurants serving both Spanish and International Cuisine, Tapas Bars, Bars offering live music and entertainment and best of all the prices are considerably less than what is charged on the nearby coastal resorts for eating out and drinks. You have all the necessary amenities on hand for shopping with large Supermarkets selling international produce, local bakeries, butchers, newsagents, gift shops, local markets and the wine Bodegas where you can sample the wines before you buy. Jalon offers you a taste of "Real Spain", an area dubbed Costa Blanca´s “Jewel in the Crown” by the British travel press. With local Fiesta´s in the summer months to enjoy too you won´t be bored!

Refundable Damage Deposit £450.24

A security fee of 500 Euros is also payable when you pay your final balance. It will be refunded to you at the end of the holiday rental period by bank transfer. This security fee is to cover any damage to the property or its contents/fixtures and fittings. We will always discuss any deductions with you before returning the security deposit. On booking, a deposit is required equivalent to 30 per cent of the total cost. (The total cost of the holiday on which the deposit is based excludes the €500 Euros Security Bond). Please note that wilful and negligent behaviour is not covered by the Security Bond and should this occur you will be asked to cover the cost of damage locally or you will be billed for the recovery of this separately. If you book a holiday within 8 weeks of the holiday commencing this will be classed as a late booking and we must receive full payment for your holiday before we can confirm your booking. If you fail to make the outstanding payment 8 weeks before the holiday commences, the booking will be cancelled and you will lose your deposit. All credit and debit card payments will be processed in Euros at the exchange rate on the date of the transaction. If you cancel or alter your booking later on, you may have to pay an amendment charge or it may not be possible to rectify your booking. If you cancel the holiday booking the cancellation will take effect from the date we receive it. We cannot give full refunds, especially if the cancellation is close to the date of the holiday. Our cancellation terms are as follows based on how many weeks prior to the holiday commencing:
More than 8 weeks prior - The deposit amount
Between 4 and 8 weeks prior - 50% of total amount
Between 3 and 4 weeks prior -70% of total amount
Between 2 - 3 weeks prior - 90% of total amount
Between 0 and 2 weeks prior to holiday commencing -100% of total amount


If you fail to make the outstanding payment 8 weeks before the holiday commences, the booking will be cancelled.
