This apartment is a perfect central London base. It is a good size one bedroom apartment with kitchen, bathroom and lounge and sleeps 4 comfortably. The apartment is stylish, modern and has been recently decorated/furnished to a high standard. There is a comfortable lounge with open plan well equipped kitchen with large dining table. The lounge has a flat screen TV large couch and coffee table. The bedroom has a large double bed, with plenty of storage space.

Great location, clean apt with limitations.

Apt 5 on Montagu st. is in a great location with little cafes just a block away, and many more a few blocks further, plus a small Tesco. Also close to Marble Arch tube station. The apt was very warm, however, because all the windows were painted shut. So not a breath of air at night! The shower is very tricky and the washing machine didn't work. The hosts did take our laundry to wash and brought back to hang up 3 times during our stay. There was plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teens, nice kitchen and bath.

Good spot for our short stay in London.

Bottom line, we would recommend the place and probably stay there again.

Pros:

The apartment is great value for the price. The area is cute and mostly quiet and close to so much. We were there during a heatwave, so being underground was welcome. The rooms are very spacious, high ceilings and just the right amount of furniture. We loved the Green Valley grocery down the street. The kitchen amenities are great, the hair dryer was powerful, the lighting is really good throughout the place, and the windows do let in a good amount of light.

Cons:

The washing machine was not working properly. The shower head is very low and not able to be adjusted, and the glass partition between the shower and the bathroom was not sufficient to keep water off of the floor. No hot water in the kitchen.

Great location, roomy apartment

We had a great stay at this property- Traveled with two teenagers. Likes:

- Very central location close to Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Oxford Street, Pubs, restaurants, etc

- Apartment is large with a true bedroom, second "room" that is open, a sitting area, kitchen, and bathroom

- Host was flexible on meetup time, let us leave our luggage early, gave good orientation to area

Things to be aware of:

- Apartment is below ground, accessed by a relatively steep set of stairs

- Shower is a bit fickle even by British standards ;-)... Tricky to get temp right

- Windows open but only a bit. It was hot in London and we were still comfortable, for a long stay in hot weather one might want a fan

There is a queen bed, single bead and a futon that goes on the floor

Would definitely stay again... The location can't be beat!

Perfect location

We really liked the apartment. It was so easy to get everywhere from there and close to Hyde Park. The only thing that was difficult was trying to figure out the washing machine . I even tried YouTube for clues . If there was an instruction booklet there I didn’t see it. That would help. The buttons are quite different than what we have at home.

Everything we needed was in the kitchen. Thank you for leaving sugar and dish soap !

It’s close to a few grocery places and many restaurants. It’s in a lower level but there’s plenty of light. We would stay here again.

Great neighborhood and central location to tube.

We enjoyed the apartment. I would only caution that it is a basement unit and the stairs going down to the unit are steep and tight, but if that is not an issue, great location and good spot to stay.
