Views across Restronguet Creek conveniently located between Falmouth and Truro

Bass Cottage is located in the peaceful village of Point between Truro and Falmouth on Restronguet Creek. The cottage faces onto the village green, and has creek views from every room. It has recently completed a full refurbishment, and now combines historic character with contemporary designer fittings and new bathrooms and kitchen with high eco credentials. This two storey cottage will provide a relaxing base from which to explore Cornwall’s spectacular coasts and always offer a beautiful place to return to!

Enter from the pretty front door into a small lobby – ideal for boots and shoes and into the charming sitting room. The beautiful slate flooring and original works of art combine to create a stylish yet comfortable interior. A flat screen Smart TV with Blu-ray/DVD player and WiFi ensure everyone remains connected but if that’s not your thing then why not curl up on one of the 2 comfortable sofas with a good book or listen to music on the impressive digital music system! The wood-burning stove and ‘air-source’ under floor heating mean that this cottage is warm and cosy at any time of year.

The separate dining room is beautifully furnished with a large table and 8 chairs along with pretty dresser, allowing family and friends to gather round and enjoy the local produce cooked up in the superbly equipped fabulous new kitchen, with granite surfaces, an electric hob, double oven, microwave, dishwasher and full height fridge freezer. There is also a separate washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen has lovely views onto the creek, and French doors that open onto a sunny courtyard garden with an outdoor table and chairs and more gorgeous creek views.

Upstairs, both bedrooms enjoy superb views over the village green and Restronguet Creek. They are fitted with luxurious new carpets in natural tones to create a lovely atmosphere in which to relax. The master bedroom has a sumptuous king size bed with plenty of hanging and drawer space, and has superb en-suite shower room with a large shower, heated towel rail, WC and basin.

The second bedroom has twin single (3ft) beds that can also be made up as a Super-King if required, and lovely new country-style furniture.

The stunning large family bathroom has a large shower along with a separate bath, WC, basin and huge heated towel rail.

Free and unrestricted on-street parking is usually available immediately in front of the cottage or very close by.

The beautiful location of Bass Cottage makes in perfect for sailors, cyclists, walkers and garden enthusiasts alike. The cottage is just 100m from the public slipway at Point Quay, and Restronguet Creek flows into the world-famous sailing waters of the Fal Estuary and Carrick Roads. It is also just a few meters away from ‘The Tramway’ – a quiet lane that forms part of the cylcle route between the south and north coasts, with links to many other cycle paths. The nearest beach is just 2 miles away, with sailing and kayaking facilities, and it is a short drive to the lively port-town of Falmouth, with sandy beaches, great cafes and restaurants, and numerous historical attractions, including Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum. The cathedral city of Truro is also just a few drive minutes away, with more comprehensive shopping facilities. This beautiful part of Cornwall is renowned for its fabulous gardens, with the National Trust property at Trelissick very near by, and the Eden Project and Lost Garden’s of Heligan and many other famous gardens all an easy drive.

Bass Cottage combines the charms of an 18th century cottage, with an beautifully refurbished interior that will provide lucky guests with a wonderful holiday house they will want to return to again and again.
