Welcome to our Surrey idyll … Wisteria Cottage is a charming, light-filled three-bedroom cottage nestled in the village of Beacon Hill, Hindhead, Surrey.
Enjoy our beautiful south-facing English garden which has lots of mature planting with interesting nooks and crannies to explore, trampoline, children’s climbing frame; or just chill out by the pond fountain and enjoy the sunshine while listening to the birds chirp.

Wisteria Cottage is a comfortably appointed charming family home - perfect for a family getaway. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 reception rooms (one of which can be used as a 4th bedroom), open plan kitchen/dining area, conservatory/garden room. Sleeps 5-6.
Wisteria Cottage is located in Beacon Hill, Hindhead, part of the beautiful Surrey Hills - deemed an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". Many walking trails and beautiful vistas are within walking distance of the Cottage.
It is a few minutes’ walk to the Beacon Hill high street, which has a village store, a few independent shops and a pizzeria. It is also a 5 minutes’ drive to Grayshott, which has two supermarkets, wine shop, café, etc.
Approximately 10 minutes’ drive away is the quaint and charming historic market town of Haslemere which is steeped in history. It has many more shops and restaurants and from here you can catch the train to London Waterloo with a direct journey time of approximately 50 minutes.
Farnham is about 8 miles, or 20 minutes’ drive away . Farnham is known for its Georgian streets, historic buildings and craft heritage, with easy access to the rural North Downs Way. It also has lots of shops and restaurants to explore.
Wisteria Cottage is also approximately 17 miles southwest of historic and scenic Guildford, just off the A3 (on the south side of the Hindhead Tunnel), or approximately 30 minutes’ drive from Guildford. In Guildford, there are many shops and amenities, including theatre, cinema, many restaurants, coffee shops, various grocery stores and many high street and independent shops. Its cobblestone streets, riverside location and fine views make it a much sought after shopping, dining and recreation destination.
The house sleeps 5-6. Sleeps 2 in the master bedroom on 1 superking, 2 children in a small but perfectly formed(!) bedroom with bunkbeds. There is another bedroom with a single bed. In addition, the second reception room can sleep 1-2 people and there is a full bathroom straight across from this room - convenient if you have guests who may find the stairs to the main bedrooms a bit of a challenge.
The main entrance is along the side of the house and leads into a porch or ‘boot room’. From here, there is a hallway area leading into all the ground floor living areas, including a second reception which we use as a TV room.
The TV room is kitted out with a large TV with Sky, extra long sofa, lots of movies, laptop desk and big bright windows – perfect for the kids to hang out in. There are also lots of kid’s games which you are welcome to use. The sofa is very comfortable for sleeping if needed and so can be used to accommodate another guest; or we can provide a king-sized double-height electric airbed for this room which would easily fit in this room if you wanted to use it as a bedroom.
Across from the TV room/4th bedroom, is a large bathroom with corner bathtub and electric power shower.
The hall also leads into an open plan kitchen and dining area all facing out onto the south-westerly facing garden. The kitchen has breakfast bar seating for 4, dishwasher, gas stove/hob, electric oven, microwave, Tassimo coffee maker, kettle, 4-slice toaster.
The kitchen also features an open plan and sociable dining area, seating 6 comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes, crockery, utensils and serving ware you need for enjoying meals at home together.
Also off the kitchen is a separate utility area with fridge/freezer, washer and vented tumble dryer. There is also a drying rail, hoover, mop/bucket and all the usual cleaning supplies you may need.
The main lounge/reception area has French-doors to the garden and overlooks the pond which has a small fountain. It also has a fireplace (not in use unfortunately) and has two three-seater sofas, 2 wing-back chairs, rocking chair, coffee table, 50" flat-screen television, Sky, WI-FI and DAB i-pod dock.
The conservatory or garden room is off the main living area/lounge and is the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks whenever the weather dictates indoors. The conservatory has an electric radiator which can be put on a timer for pre-heating when you know you want to enjoy the room.

There are 2 further bedrooms – a single room with a set of bunk beds for kids, and another room with a single bed.
There is also a shower room with corner shower, toilet, sink.
There is ample room to park 2 vehicles in the front driveway and additional parking on the street if needed.
The garden features lots of nook and crannies with lots of mature trees and shrubs and wraps around the house. It is very private, very interesting and beautifully cared for. There is a small pond with a fountain, a 12 foot trampoline with side guards, a slide and a children's' play frame.
For the grownups, there is a kettle-style charcoal bbq, as well as a comfy seating and eating area on the grass for 6, electric patio heater and a cantilever parasol.

Bedroom 2 – bunk beds.
Bedroom 3 - single bed.
TV room/4th bedroom – extra long sofa for 1, or upon request, we can provide a king-sized double height airbed on request for 2.
All of our beds have memory foams on them for extra comfort.
There is a travel cot and highchair available for little ones.
1. Spacious ‘family’ bathroom on main floor with corner soaking tub and electric power shower. As it is directly across from the TV room/4th bedroom, would be perfect for any guests who would prefer not to climb the stairs to the 1st floor.
2. Shower room on 1st floor shared by the 3 upstairs bedrooms.
Towels and linens are included.
For stays of 2 or more weeks, interim/additional cleaning can be arranged at a cost of approximately £100.
