Good Apartment, noisy street

We rented this apartment for 2 nights in November during our visit in London. This apartment is on a very busy and noisy street. The apartment itself was well maintained. However, this property is being ill-served by the management company. The lady I talked to (Kirby, I think) was borderline rude when I asked if we could check in a little early so we could drop our bags off. They do, however, allow you to drop your bags off at the management office, but we had too much luggage to lug around to multiple places. Also, Kirby made it clear that we would not be met at the apartment with the keys, since they were short-handed. We had to go to the management office to pick up keys.

Another thing to know is that the apartment is on the second floor (first floor in British English parlance), but what the description does not mention is that there are two flights of stairs once you get into the apartment. With the aforementioned pieces of luggage, it was quite a task getting them up all those stairs. The kitchen was very modern and clean, and so was the bathroom. The floor tilts weirdly, so one side of the kitchen is noticeably higher than the other side. The vagaries of old London apartments, I guess. Also, it looks a little run down from the outside. However, when you walk in, it turns out to have all the modern amenities you could need. The apartment was well equipped and had plenty of towels and toiletries. In terms of accessibility, this apartment was a 10 to 12 minute walk to the nearest tube station. Part of this walk is along the very busy street this apartment is on, but the rest of the way is quite nice and not too busy. Also, there is a supermarket right next to the tube station, and also a Tesco Express closer to the apartment.
