We holidayed with friends in Cape Coral and were immediately hooked on the area that has it all. Fab beaches, fishing, golf, shops, restaurants and attractions.

Lots of local restaurants and Old Floridian fishing village Matlasha just a few minutes drive. Local wildlife fascinating to watch.... we even have an Osprey nest next to the house. Lots of fish in our canal will entertain you especially at night with the snook light shining on the water. The dock is fitted with a snook light..... Fascinating to watch the shoals of fish at night as they play in the pool of light

Villa de rêve""We spent 10 days in the villa last August, and I have to say it was really fantastic. I used to rent villas in Florida but this one is very very luxurious. When we got in the villa, all the family expererienced the "WOW" effect :-). Furthermore, the local Manager and the Owner are very sympatic and provide an excellent support. Definitely, this is a good choice to spend beautiful time in Florida and enjoy life. Conclusion: depechez-vous de réserver, vous allez adorer!!! +++++"Copied from our Homeaway listing
The home was beautiful, clean, and very spacious for our group of 8. We had more than enough room and the home had everything we needed.
We enjoyed swimming in the beautiful pool, lounging in the kiddie pool, fishing off the dock, and then eating our catch!
The home is in a perfect location! We toured Pine Island, Sanibel Island, Everglades City, Punta Gorda, Naples, Fort Myers Beach, the outlet mall, and went to a hockey game in Tampa Bay.
Almost every morning, we went down the road to see the manatees and were blessed to watch at least 12 playing and swimming! That was a definite highlight for me!
We enjoyed our holiday immensely; big thanks to Jeff & Jackie (owners) and also Jay (villa manager).
Wow... The pictures of the Villa were amazing on their own... Stepping in to the home was jaw dropping. Impeccably clean with every accommodation you could imagine. Jay, the property manager was wonderful to deal with and very helpful. Very private neighborhood, easy access to everywhere and we made the most of it . Whether it was an evening by the pool, morning coffee with manatees by the canal, or trips into downtown Ft. Myers, Ft Myers Beach, and Matlacha and Bert's Dive bar for their sunset happy hour complete with a steel drum player. We even found a few karaoke bars right there in Cape Coral.
We were down for our son's college baseball tournament in Ft Myers and this was the perfect location to access all the tournament facilities. There were six of us at the villa with more than enough room and privacy...
Besides Bert's which has been a favorite of our's for years, do not miss downtown Ft Myers and...
United Cafe & Bistro... best bloody Mary
Los Cabos Cantina... best margarita
The Lodge (new)... BBQ and pour your own beer wall
Firestone's Sky Bar... awesome view and cocktails...
Thank you so much Jeff and Jackie... We hope to be back again and again.

We got to rent this very nice home for 2 weeks. Very clean and well taken care of. So nice to wake up every morning and have our coffee out by the pool and watch the fish jump. (what are those fish that flop around?) This home has everything to cook all your meals, which we mainly did. We loved the walk in shower. Now I'm spoiled and my husband needs to build me one of those! The other thing that is an added benefit was the water. It was great not to have to lug in water bottles as we have had to in the past when renting other Florida homes. It was great for drinking and showering! The pool is very nice even the splash area was enjoyed by the adults as we had no little kids with us. I'll be honest we were not impressed with Cape Coral beach. Speaking with someone on the beach he told us the water is what is called brackish water. It is quite dark and not very inviting but with that said we mainly spent our beach days at Fort Myers (their water wasn't all that great either). I guess there is something going on with the lake being emptied into it because of all the rain. Something like that anyway. Checked out Sanibel but our favorite was Siesta Key Beach. It's about an hour and a half away but well worth it. The water is absolutely beautiful!
Thanks for a great stay Jeff and Jackie!
Just wondering do you ever get to eat or drink those coconuts in your backyard?
If you've ever wanted to stay somewhere that is beautiful, has all the amenities and more, then this is the place for you! We loved our stay, while there we were able to make use of the pool, do some fishing, play in the game room and enjoy beautiful sunsets. The location was perfect for getting to the beach seeing the surrounding sights and enjoying a slower pace than the hustle and bustle found in the heart of Fort Myers. It was also comforting to know that if we had any problems there was someone who was there to help, thanks for keeping in touch and assuring us you were there to help Jay! A great place at great value, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area! Thank you Jeff & Jackie - we loved our stay.
The home is BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, Very Comfortable and accommodating in every way!! The pool and water view was a pleasant way to start and end each day!! Close to restaurants and grocery stores and all types of shopping and water activities. Matachla Island is just minutes away and a must to see!!
This was our second year coming to Tamara. We love this area and have a lot of friends nearby. The villa is grand. Lots of room for family and friends to visit. Close to many great restaurants. The house is exactly as described in the ad. Jay and his assistant maintained the property very well and even helped me when a catfish stuck me with a toxic spine. The house was spotless when we arrived. I LOVE the openness of the house. Great for grand, children to play. We used the pool alot. A hotbud would be so nice there We did lots of fishing at the dock and in Matlache at the bridge. That was fun. We enjoyed Carrabbas, Macellis, Ford's Grill. Ragged ASS bar, Joe' Crab Shack, even Golden Corral etc. Spent a day at Fort Myers Beach and loved that. Saw sharks and dolphins there. When to tide went out, my granddaughters loved it.Bicycles would be fun. We plan on bringing our biked in Ferbruary
We recommend this property. We are going back in February. Jackie and Jeff are great to deal with
Our area of the Cape is one of the nicest locations in the quiet North West area but within easy reach of the extensive facilities and attractions that Cape Coral is famous for.
Matlasha is a 5 minute drive and here you will find an 'Old Florida' fishing village, home to many brightly colored art galleries, island boutiques, seafood restaurants, and traditional Floridian cottages. local things to do include Fishing, boating golf, beaches,Water park, designer outlets, Manatee park etc, There are two excellent public Golf courses with 18 and 27 holes just 5 minutes away (Budget price rounds and tuition available) and of course the extensive boating and fishing that the area is famous for. Some of the best beaches in the world are a 45 min drive (Fort Myers Captiva Sanibel) and our local beach 9 mile
Fishing is fantastic for 12 months of the year and is infamous for the Tarpon fishing of Boca Grande, World class shark fishing and backwater fishing for Snook, Redfish, and Trout. You can hire a guide or fish from the canals, beaches or bridges. Our very own canal – the Monamink is home to various fish (snapper, sheepshead, stingray, mullet, catfish and tarpon) and is visited by Manatees Ospreys and Eagles
Other Activities: Worlds best Tarpon fishing, Family watersplash, Designer shops, Restaurants
