Half Term Break
This property is located part way down a steep single lane farm track lane. Directions to the property were excellent and clear and the owner responded promptly to all my questions before our arrival. We were able to enjoy lovely views from the property ,and on the whole, the property met our expectations. We would stay here again .

Cosy, relaxing and rural cottage
We had a pleasant, relaxing weekend break at Summer Barn in beautiful, rural surroundings with stunning views. There was more than enough room in the cottage for 6 adults and the house was very well equipped, especially the kitchen. The barn was cosy and warm, even in the wet and cold autumn weather. We were also very pleased to see all the recycling facilities at the barn including a compost bin for our food waste. To get down to the property you have to go down quite a steep single track lane - this was fine in the morning, however when we arrived in the dark and rain, was a little bit of a surprise and so please be aware that arriving in the light would be recommended if you are a nervous driver. We were particularly impressed by the added extras of fresh eggs and homemade wine and it was lovely to experience some of the local farm produce. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we will look to return again when we are in the area.

Cosy, well equipped, spacious, perfect family cottage
The cottage was perfect for our family. The facilities are excellent and it's like a home away from home. Particularly impressed with the thought the owners have put into making sure families have all they need I.e stair gate, high Chair and buggy. Yvonne was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. The cottage is well located for walks and has a good local pub The Dog Inn. Kindly the owners provided10%off vouchers for us to use there. There are lots of toys, puzzles and books for children and wifi available. The kitchen was well equipped and there were some sauces, tea bags etc, foil, kitchen roll etc which came in handy! A bottle of home made wine as a gift was welcomed! We would definatly return when visiting family in the area. Thank you so much!

As well as running the Holiday Cottage, we also run a small holding with pedigree Kerry Hill sheep, which you will see grazing in our fields. Lambing happens in April, so if you come then you may get to meet some of our newborn lambs.

Why they chose this property

We are very family-friendly, with plenty of items available, including cots, high chair, stair gates, baby bath. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome.

What makes this property unique

Fantastic views across farmland towards the Fylde Coast - on a good day you can see Blackpool Tower - and the sunsets can be amazing.
