|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
First floor studio sleeps up to 4 with magnificent sea views and pool access. Just a few minutes walk takes you to the sea or village.
On the south side of the island between Gran Tarajal and Tarajalejo, the small quiet fishing village of Giniginamar is a jewel of white houses set on a black sandy beach under an azure blue sky!!
Get away from it all here where there is no mass tourism, no high rises, or noisy beach bars to disturb the peace and quiet of this tranquil setting. What you DO get is the best of the island - unspoilt stretches of beach and countryside, magnificent views, friendly locals and clear water. The studios are just a few minutes walk from the village or the beach and and have access to a lovely pool. Both are open plan with a separate bathroom (with bath, bidet, WC). (Sleeping area screened from the living area by a half height wall for privacy which maintains an open aspect). Compact and well designed. Everything you need without being cramped.
Studio Helen is first floor with magnificent unspoilt panoramic view to the sea, Studio Jill is ground floor with direct access to pool.
Restaurants: Within a few minutes walk is a restaurant run by a German couple who also speak Spanish and English. They offer a variety of cuisines, German cooking as well as traditional canarian dishes.
In the village itself (about 4 minutes walk) is the local bar with plenty of authentic local atmosphere where you can sample typical canarian dishes including fresh fish and a drink or two. The setting is superb, the waitress is lovely and you will literally be sitting right on the beach where you can watch the fishermen bringing in their catch and be close enough to toss a pebble in the sea!!
There are no facilities in the village for shopping - which is the price you pay for a quiet environment but in Gran Tarajal, the next village along which is 10 minutes away by car, you can find all the supermarkets and shops for anything you might need.
For this reason we recommend guests to hire a car, so that they are independent and can take advantage of what the island has to offer.
We are back in cold old germany again.
And we are not happy about that at all!!!
We had a lovely break at Fuerteventura, the combination of your appartement in giniginamar and the car and the wheather could not have
been any better. We loved your place, the peacefullness and quiet surroundings,
having long breakfasts and relaxing dinners at the terrace with great view But we sure will come back, hopefully we' ll make it sometime in
spring / summer and we are already telling all our friends about how much we enjoyed staying at your place. I've seen, you are booked really well already, but I am sure we will find a couple of days left for us.
} Thank you very much Please, never ever
sell this place, but if you do, contact us before! Thank you very much again for your share in our great holiday!!
This is one of those finds that you are reluctant to share with others.
This is peace and quiet as you just have to experience if you lead a busy life everyday!
The apartment is located in a sleepy small fishing village where a walk along the beach, dip in the ocean and drink at the beach side bar are the order of the day.
The apartment is to a good standard and ideal for two people. The complex has a delightful pool - but boy was it cold compared to the ocean!. Entertainment is limited as the satellite TV has a few stations broadcasting news in English. Take a good book or your own DVDs.
Get organised - you need a car as the nearest supermarkets and bakers is a 12km drive away. There are delightful bars, cafes and restaurants with free wifi at Gran Tarajal (12km away)
The hills on either side of the bay are worth exploring - if you can find the start of the paths! (Some Spanish helps here...) I also discovered a wonderful beach walk along white sands and by an incredibly blue and warm ocean. Take the A2 south to milepost 72km and El Paso beach. You can walk miles and see few other people as you walk towards Morro Jable.
It can be breezy too on Fuerteventura so be warned. A most relaxing time and I will be back!
On this wonderful island "Fuerteventura" We have the third. In January 2012, we discovered a village Giniginamar and we immediately fell in love with her, his return we were looking for accommodation in this village. Found studio "Helen" and spent a wonderful 14 days in late November and December 2012. Every morning we enjoyed the sunrise, long breakfast in silence and peace, to swim in the sea (to Adam and Eve), etc.
Studio "Helen" is simply and tastefully furnished with a terrace, from which the entire bay and village at your fingertips (divine view).
We recommend to rent a car and drive through the island, always surprise you with something even if you pass several times. Maybe a couple of times it rains and hills that look dryly, suddenly turn green.
Always we are sorry that we have to go back to winter and cold. Therefore, in 2013 we will visit again Giniginamar.

Giniginamar is the perfect place to stay away from the tourist crowd. The large, diverse but peaceful apartment building with well-kept pool is situated at the end of a an extensive valley, above the tiny fishing-village of Giniginamar. From Studio "Helen“ and across its big terrace, which is south facing and gets the sun from early morning until the afternoon, you have a magnificent view overlooking the bay. The studio is ideal for 1 or 2 people, it has a big bathroom (bathtub), constant warm/hot water, a small kitchen (2 hot plates only), is simple, clean, well-kept, has SAT-TV and a lot of reading material. It is worth its price! A hire car is necessary (available from EURO 18.00 per day), because the apartments are 4 km away from the main road, the FV2, to Morro Jable, although there is a regular bus to the main road from the village. In Gran Tarajal, the second biggest town in Furteventura, 12 km away, a little town almost without tourism, there are - amongst other things - a huge supermarket, a post office, some bakers and the idyll of a fishing harbour. (There is a supermarket also in Tarajalejo, 12 km away). It is 25 km (25 min. by car) to the endless and spectacular beaches (with dunes) of Playa Barca, Costa Calma ... - for example - the hotel "Los Gorriones" with a huge parking area next to the beach. All together - in my opinion (I've been there several times) - very much recommended.
It's a very clean and nice studio ,the price/quality is top. From the balcony you have a breathtaking view and you can hear the sound of the waves ,I love it.There is also a nice swimming pool and in a few steps you are on the quiet beach. In 20 minutes by car you are on the most beautiful white sand beaches of the island. Also in the same time you can reach the north coast with his magical landscape. On this side La Pared is the real mekka for board surfers(high waves). For the golf players the 18 holes at La Playitas is also 20 minutes away.
So I recommend 100% this studio for a nice stay on Fuerteventura.
This is an idylic spot, and the studio is perfect. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, in a lovely village overlooking the Atlantic ocean, this is ideal. The situation is wonderful, excellent pubs and restaurants a walk away. Apartments Aurora spotless, and comfortable.Infinity pool beautiful,Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there and would certainly recommend this property.
The climate of Fuerteventura is very mild, with temperatures usually between 20-25 degrees no matter what the time of year. Just a jumper and trousers for winter evenings and you should be fine! Rainfall is very little and usually only lasts a couple of hours at the most.
For shopping, water sports centres and more restaurants the town of Gran Tarajal is just 15 minutes away by car from Giniginamar. This is one of the biggest towns on the island since at one time all the tomatoes from the island were shipped from here! This is a pretty un-touristy town but has all the services you may need.
For walkers, a stroll along the cliffs from the village to Gran Tarajal is good (4km).
Las Playitas is another pretty village nearby with more eating out opportunities.
With car you have access to the many wonderful beaches and spectacular scenery that Fuerteventura offers. No crowds here! Giniginamar gives you the 'get away from it all' feel without the need for a 4x4 vehicle.
