Located between the Bastille, République and the Rontonde de la Villette, the apartment is in a very popular, highly rated district that is charming, romantic and dynamic. Whether choosing to travel on foot or bicycle (special cycle lanes border the length of the whole canal) the areas of the Bastille, the famous district of Marais or the Parc de la Vilette are all within easy reach.
The 52m2 apartment has three living areas and can sleep up to 4 people. Located on the fourth floor of a XIX century building with a lift, it is wonderfully light and quiet, overlooking a small green island area with no buildings directly opposite. A charming, incredibly comfortable apartment fitted with parquet, fireplaces and ceiling mouldings, and very tastefully furnished.
The main entrance opens onto a dining/living room area (with television, radio and sofa), a fully-equipped kitchen (with microwave, toaster, coffee machine, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine), two bedrooms (double bed) and a bath room with toilet and shower.
The apartment is fitted with electric heating.

Public parking is available near the apartment, costing between 25 and 30€ a day.
Clean and well lit apartment. However it did not have any hand soap, hand towels and minimal toilet tissue. It would have been helpful to have them.
Check in and check out went very smoothly, a lovely, comfortable, well furnished apartment only 2 minutes walk from Gare du l'Est, close to the canal and with a good choice of cafes / restaurants nearby, an excellent base to expolre Paris from.
The location is quite convenient to the metro and has a number of local restaurants and shops close by so that all essential needs are close at hand. L. was most helpful and gave good advice regarding services and places to eat neaby.
The main rooms were light and airy, very clean and in a lovely location right by the canal.
