Wonderful well equipped home with stunning views.

  • 5 of 5

Firstly this is not an apartment it is a small home which is extremely well equipped.. It is extremely well positioned in the centre of the Amalfi Coast enabling one to explore all the wonderful places with ease. I would recommend having a car as you are high up from the town of Amalfi otherwise you are reliant on buses and boats to get anywhere.

As other guests have reported the village of Furore has a small market shop with a wonderful range of high quality goods, pharmacy and coffee shop/bar . There are many good restaurants close by .

For us the highlight was meeting and spending time with our hosts Angela and Bengy who made us feel so welcome . Our cooking lesson with Angela , who is a renowned chef , was an experience that will never be forgotten.

Wonderful Place to Stay on Amalfi Coast

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely property for five days in mid-April 2017. It was perfect. We were two retired couples with a rental car. The property has private off street parking which is hard to find on the Amalfi Coast. The property has a great patio and adjacent sunbathing area as depicted in several photos advertising the property. Inside there is a very comfortable living/dining room. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need to prepare your own meals. The bedrooms are good sized with comfortable beds - the master bedroom opens onto a terrace and has a great private bathroom. All in all the apartment (which is somewhat of a misnomer as this is really a small house) is a really, really nice.

The property is located in an area known as Furore - which is between the town of Amalfi and Praiano. It is about 700 feet above the coastline so the patio offers a gorgeous view of the coastline and Gulf of Salerno. The center of Furore is about 400 meters away - an easy walk - where a you will find a small market, pharmacy, bar, and post office. The market has about everything you need for your meals. There is also a bus stop across from the market. We did not use the bus but would have if we had stayed longer as the Amalfi Coast roads are narrow and have a few twists and turns.

I can't say enough nice things about the owners, Angela and Benjamin. Even though we only stayed at their property for 5 days we felt we had made life-long friends. They were very accommodating and responsive and made our stay very memorable.

I don't know if we will be fortunate enough to visit the Amalfi Coast again, but if we do we are staying at this property. As I wrote earlier - its perfect.

We stayed in this wonderful house for close to 4 weeks. The outside patio, lawn, terraces, stone kitchen area are beautiful, spacious, immaculate with a breathtaking view of the Tyranean Sea from every section.

It is hard to believe that you can rent a home on the Amalfi coast that not only had private parking, but such large and beautifully appointed outside areas to wine, dine, sit, and entertain guests.

We invited 2 guests for over a week and they too loved it. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the sea, drinks at sunset, and a few candlelit dinners were priceless.

The inside of the house is immaculate, spacious, extremely well appointed, with every amenity one can need. The inside of the house is larger than you can tell when looking at the photographs on this site. This home is built with love, and once you meet the homeowners Angela & Benjamini you can immediately see why. They are gracious, warm, and treat you as family. They want you to feel that this is your house and enjoy everything about it. They live on the property and totally respect your privacy, yet you know if there is something you need they are there.

Since the Amalfi Coast is steps upon steps with impossible parking, it's quite a benefit to have a home with private off road parking and minimal steps to the house.

There is a small town with a restaurant, market, pharmacy, bar/luncheonette, bank, post office down the hill. About a 20 minute (max) walk. In the town one can get the Sita bus to get you to Amalfi which is the hub of transportation. There are restaurants, vineyards, in the town above (Agerola) and of courses many towns down the Amalfi coast drive. Within a 15 minute drive there are beautiful private beaches with restaurants and chairs to rent. Lido Beach was one we loved.

We have rented other homes in Europe, this one stands out.

I cannot say enough about the homeowners who represent all the warmth and good of the Italians that live on the Amalfi Coast. Just loved this experience!

Ein wunderschöner Platz an der Amalfiküste

  • 5 of 5

Furore is one of the most suggestive of the Amalfi Coast, corner of paradise nestled between mountains and sea, the main attraction of this country is its powerful and ostentatious beauty. Since 1997 it has become part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Furore offers its guests the beauty of an uncontaminated reality because far from the chaos and smog of the big cities, suitable for those who want to spend a holiday of relaxation and quiet. Who is ahead in Furore can not but admire the beauty of its fjord, one of the most picturesque in Italy, has always been a natural harbor where he developed the oldest forms of industrial activities such as paper mills and mills. The Furore, deep crack in the rock at the mouth of a steep valley to the sea, where they picked up in the past a small and quaint fishing village. Overtaken by the State Road through a 30-meter suspension bridge, on the first Sunday of July there is a stage of the Marmeeting, the World Championship of Diving from great heights, over the years this event has managed to assert itself attracting countless visitors. Singular is the "en plein-air" art gallery consisting of "author's walls", murals and sculptures that make Furore a "painted village" in fact covering the whole stretch of road that crosses the town, you can admire the murals that have been frescoed on the walls of houses and / or terraces, as appropriate; to date there are about fifty, and from year to year they are added.

Another attraction is The Balcony Furitana special and unique event which combines the charming village of Furore art, culture, gastronomy and shows solidarity. Headquarters of all events is the Church of Santa Maria seat of an ancient brotherhood among the most important and prestigious of Furore, the Church also includes the pre-Napoleonic cemetery and the Oratory of the Immaculate. La Balconata Furitana is a journey of discovery of unknown cultural and artistic treasures, with the main objective of enhancing these beauties, offering top quality tourist and gastronomic itineraries. Finally last stop not to be missed are the Cantine Marisa Cuomo, its excellent wines collect for years a worldwide success. Do not miss the guided tour of the cellar dug into the rock, a fascinating place unique and its spectacular vineyards where the grapes grow clinging to the rock exposed to the magical action of the sea and the sun of the Amalfi Coast. The tour ends with an excellent gastronomic tasting where you can taste all the local products.
