Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday barn in Stape - Rural Cottages in Pickering

Pye Corner Cottage was the granary before being changed into a charming and cosy holiday cottage offering ideal accommodation for two couples or a family.

For two couples it offers complete privacy as each en-suite bedroom is at opposite sides of the cottage, whilst one is upstairs and one is downstairs.

For any families who have someone less mobile, there is of course a bathroom upstairs and downstairs.

This cottage is also often used for an extended family, grandparents upstairs in the twin en-suite room and mum and dad with children, perhaps a child in the single bed and baby in a cot in the large en-suite bedroom. The whole cottage is very spacious and comfortable, an ideal place to unwind and relax.

The lounge is upstairs to take advantage of the views of the countryside and forest. The room is large, comfortable and elegant with a high open beamed ceiling and windows facing north, south and east.

Next door to the lounge there is a spacious twin bedded en-suite room.

The other very spacious en-suite bedroom is downstairs and has a king-size bed and a single bed. Also the bathroom is very spacious, there is plenty of room in this bedroom for a cot if required. Both en-suite bathrooms are spacious with an electric shower over the bath.

To the left of the entrance lobby is a large beamed dining kitchen, although excellently equipped with dishwasher, microwave, freezer etc, this has the feel of a real farm kitchen.

Entry to the cottage is from the south facing courtyard where there is plenty of space for you to sit outside. Of course there is the large extensive garden for children to play in and where the whole family can relax.

About Jan & Duncan Allsopp

We have always enjoyed the countryside and coast and we had an opportunity to buy Rawcliffe House Farm in 2001. This gave us the chance to bring up our family, live and work in an area loved by ourselves.

Our family, now grown up still live in the area while we continue to live in the farmhouse beside the accommodation, so we are always on hand to help and give information about things to do around the area and places to eat.

We are always working in and around the accommodation; you will often see us cutting the grass, keeping the grounds and property well maintained for our guests.
