Our luxury 2 bedroomed apartment is situated within a small development named ‘Tee 5’, a gated little enclave of 6 strikingly designed modern buildings set within the grounds of the award winning Villa Padierna Palace Hotel and PGA golf course, and part of the Ritz Carlton stable of hotels. Our apartment is elevated over the 5th Tee of the Flamingos golf course. It enjoys spectacular views of the coastline, Gibraltar and the Atlas Mountains of North Africa in the distance, and is a perfect place to unwind and forget about the unpredictable weather of home.

Our fully air conditioned apartment is a spacious 1800 sq ft of elegantly furnished and decorated accommodation, with an additional 600 sq ft of outside space on three terraces, the largest of them being south-west facing terrace and a perfect relaxing place to enjoy evening food and drink against the panoramic backdrop of the Andalusian coastline and mountains.

Outside the apartment, the grounds of Tee 5 are fully landscaped and feature well-established Mediterranean plants and flowers, and also palm trees that flourish in the Andalusian sunshine. There are two large swimming pools to choose from, and for sun bathing or relaxing there are ample sun loungers with parasols available. There is outside car parking available as well as underground parking with a dedicated parking space.

Tee 5 is set a little in the hills and so is peaceful, and yet it isn’t too isolated. It is a special little community within the domain of the Villa Padiernia 5 star hotel, and after your stay at our lovely apartment we feel sure you’ll want to return!

Having spent many years of experiencing memorable trips to Andalusia, we finally decided to have a base in the region and a place we could call a home-from-home, a place where we could enjoy near guaranteed sunshine. We spent months looking at all types of properties from renovation projects to new-builds, and just when we decided to shelve our plan we were shown the strikingly different and exciting development of Tee 5. We promptly secured our interests that day and we have since enjoyed 12 years of fabulous holidays with friends and family!

Open-plan Living Area and Dining Room

The sitting room is tastefully decorated and is furnished with high-quality furniture and fittings, featuring leather sofas, walnut dining table and six comfortable dining chairs, a Loewe tv with cable fed tv channels, a stereo system and fast broadband.


The light-filled kitchen is very spacious and fully equipped with Smeg and Bosch appliances, such as washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and hob. The works tops are corian and there are ample kitchen cupboards for storage, and also breakfast bar to sit at and socialise with the cook! The kitchen forms an integral part of open-plan area but it also benefits from a large window to enjoy its own a stunning view of the hills.

Master bedroom

The Master bedroom has a 45 degree floor-to-ceiling window which provides an incredible view of the hills and the golf course of the Villa Padierna Hotel. The bed is a super-king ViSprung bed to relax on as you can take in the view, or read a book, and there are plenty of pillows to guarantee a good nights sleep, and the bedroom, like the rest of the apartment, is fully air-conditioned in case it becomes too hot. There are ample fitted wardrobes in a separate part of the bedroom, and also an ensuite bathroom featuring his-and-hers sinks, a large walk-in marble clad shower and a separate Jacuzzi jet bath.

Second bedroom

The second bedroom also features a super-king ViSprung bed, fitted wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom, but has the added benefit of featuring full-height glass folding doors that lead out to a small, furnished terrace offering yet more south-westerly views, and its an ideal place to have a morning coffee or read a book.

Main Terrace

This is accessed via full-height glass sliding doors which spans the whole width of the open plan living area. Like the open-plan living area, the terrace is full-width but then unexpectedly wraps around the side to afford yet more outside space. Like all the main rooms in the apartment, the terrace has a south-west orientation to take advantage of the elevated and panoramic views of the coast line. The terrace is amply furnished with elegant and comfortable wicker sofas and armchairs, it also has a huge teak dining table and 6 chairs, and 2 incredibly comfortable sun loungers to lay on in total privacy. There is a bbq perfectly positioned to enjoy stunning views of the sunset while working that grill and enjoying a G and T! The terrace features mature bay trees and palms, and has Moroccan lanterns to remind us of the Moorish history and influence in Andalusia.

Tee 5 is an hour from Malaga Airport and 45 minutes from Gibraltar Airport, both served by frequent flights from the UK. Our apartment is 15 minutes away from Marbella, 10 minutes away from Puerto Banus and within moments of the coastline. Although it’s possible to reach some places on foot, such as the shops and the beach, it is essential to have use of a car during your stay as the terrain is hilly and becomes arduous to tackle in the heat of the sun.

Nearby, Marbella features the Golden Mile featuring a lovely landscaped boardwalk which is happily shared by strollers and cyclists alike, and is dotted with cafes and restaurants to order cold sangria or beachside tapas. At the end of the boardwalk lies Marbella Old Town, an ancient walled city retaining the same layout as in the 16th Century, and being car free makes it a perfect environment to explore the history of the town and sample its impressive range of cafes and restaurants that offer everything from tapas to fine dining.

Marbella is probably the best place in Europe to come for golf, and golf lovers will be amazed at the variety of golf and country clubs to choose from. There are more than ten golf courses near the centre of Marbella alone, including the Marbella Golf and Country Club. In addition, our apartment at Tee 5 is right at the heart of the four golf courses within the Villa Padierna Palace hotel, including two 18-hole championship golf courses. The original course, the Flamingos Golf, is on the short side at under 5,800 meters from the back tees, but has still played host to Spanish senior tour events and ideal requires a buggy, especially in the heat of summer. The newer course, the Gran Flamingo Golf Club, is set farther back into the mountains and features some very dramatic terrain to navigate the golf ball around. It's much longer, playing 6,641 yards, and many fairways are cut tightly along steep mountain grades. The par 3s are all very long with plenty of pitfalls around them. 
The Gran Flamingo is set farther back and is not in view of the Mediterranean Sea at most points, but the 18th hole is perched high above the coastline and offers spectacular views of The Rock and Morocco in the distance. The Villa Padierna Palace hotel is the centerpiece of all this action. and it’s the the perfect to end a round of golf will a well-earned lunch or a drink on the terrace.

Our apartment is within striking distance of the major historical sights of the coast and Andalusia.


Ronda is situated within the province of Malaga, and has a deep gorge running through the middle of it. The 250 year old Puente Nuevo bridge connects the two parts of the city, connecting the old town to a relatively newer one. Both sides of the town have notable monuments but the must-see is the Plaza de Toros de Ronda, the oldest bullring in Spain, famously celebrated by Ernest Hemmingway who learned to bullfight here. The bullring is still in use, occasionally, but it now has the chief purpose of being a museum for all things dedicated to the sport.

Puerto Banus

Puerto Banus can be reached 15 minsutes or so from Tee 5. Although compact, Puerto Banus offers an amazing wealth of facilities and attractions, including European Blue Flag beaches on either side of the yacht-filled port, a myriad of restaurants and bars, water sports, golf, a casino, cinema and an incredible host of designer boutiques with an enormous El Corte Ingles department store, a cross between Selfridges and John Lewis. Puerto has an undeserved reputation of being a glitzy millionaires’ playground, but a visit during the day will prove that it has much more to offer.

White Towns - the historical and Moorish White Towns of Andalusia, or Pueblos Blancos, are a series of towns and large villages within the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga in southern Spain, mostly within the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. All of the villages are characterised by whitewashed walls and are mostly situated on hillsides.

Cadiz - despite its unique site—on a narrow slice of land surrounded by the sea‚ Cádiz is a typically Andalusian city with a wealth of attractive vistas and well-preserved historical landmarks. The older part of Cádiz within the remnants of the city walls is commonly referred to as the Old Town, and has been often used as a Havana stand-in by film crews.

Granada - rich in history and culture, Granada is arguably the single most worthwhile city in Spain for visitors. In addition to a rich multicultural history, and Moorish and medieval monuments, an authentic Spanish driven nightlife, and skiing and trekking in the nearby Sierra Nevada, Granada offers a break from the summer heat of other Andalusian cities such as Córdoba or Seville. The world-famous Alhambra is also located here, a medieval palace and fortress complex which became an UNESCO World Heritage site in 1984.

Reservation is confirmed on receipt of completed Booking Form together with a 25% deposit. Payment can be made by bank transfer to HSBC – bank details to follow on confirmation of booking.

The balance due must be paid 6 weeks via bank transfer to the above account before the commencement of the reservation period. At the same time a separate cheque for 15% of the total rental charge should be sent to cover possible damages and breakages during the rental period. This cheque will NOT be banked and will be returned following satisfactory inspection prior to your departure.

Bookings taken within 6 weeks of arrival require full payment immediately.

Weekly bookings commence on a Saturday. Minimum booking period is for one week from April to September. For shorter term rentals off-season, please contact us.

The client agrees to leave the apartment in the same condition that it was handed over to them. Keys to the apartment are available from 1500 hrs on the day of arrival, and keys returned to us by 09:15 hrs on the day of departure.

On site car parking is available but Casa Helena is not held responsible for any loss, theft or damage that may occur to the vehicle whilst parked, or for any other personal property of the guest.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

More than 3 months before arrival date – 100% refund less 10% administration charges. Between 3 months and 6 weeks before arrival date – 50% refund less 10% administration charges. Less than 6 weeks before arrival date – Nil refund

While Casa Helena has full Public Liability Insurance to a maximum value of €1million, we advice you take out travel insurance prior to your arrival.

We are not liable for any non-deliverance of your accommodation which has been caused by fire, flood and other “acts of God”.
