We loved everything about this house. We found there was everything we needed. Hot tub was fantastic and even our dog enjoyed the stay. There was a slight problem with flys that we put down to the brook at the front of the house, maybe some plug in's might be helpful, Especially in kitchen.
In general the property was good with quality fixtures and fittings and nicely decorated. However, on arrival we were greeted by approx 200 flies in the dining room and although a can of fly spray had been left out for us the flies continued to be a problem the whole weekend, - we literally killed hundreds but there were always more with at least 20 in the kitchen at any one time which made food preparation difficult and many, many more in the dining area. The other main issue was the water pressure, so low only half of us could have a shower in the mornings! Rinsing hair took forever as it was little more than a trickle in some bathrooms. The bedroom that had no en-suite and used a bathroom by the kitchen was particularly badly affected. It smelt of drains and the shower didn't work. On the plus side, we had lovely weather and it was easy to get to Beverley and Bridlington, both of which we enjoyed.
Very good and as advertised. Unfortunately the property was severely infested by flys, apart from that, everything was clean
and all amenities that could be wished for, except for the barbecue which was too small and inadequate for the amount of people staying
at the property. We experienced great difficulty cooking and eating due to the amount of flys in the kitchen and dining areas.
I could not recommend this enough. 16 girls stayed for the weekend and had a brilliant weekend. The house is huge, most bedrooms have ensuite, huge living spaces so loads of room. The hot tub and sauna are great too. Lovely garden area. I have no complaints at all.
The customer service team were really helpful with any queries I had.
The location is quite rural but stock up on food and drinks and you don't need to leave!
I will definitely be returning!
We booked Foldyard for a hen do for 16 people. The accommodation was beautiful and in a nice secluded and quiet location, which is what we wanted.
The hot tub and steam room were fab and a great luxury for us all.
My bridesmaids and I booked Foldyard house for my hen weekend, and I am so pleased we managed to find this little gem! The house is absolutely stunning, everything has been finished to such a high standard, it really did have a 'wow factor' when we walked in. The house provided the perfect space for a wonderful hen weekend. The hot tub and sauna were great for relaxing in, we even got a bit of sunshine on Saturday to be able to enjoy the lovely garden for a while. The beds were very comfortable, the only downside was the early morning wake up calls from the cockerels next door... Which can't be helped. All but one of the bedrooms had lovely en suit bathrooms. We had a slight problem with the water pressure at times, which is understandable with so many bathrooms having more than one shower running. The house is a short drive away from the coast. On Sunday we went to Hornsea and had the best fish and chips from Sullivan's. They are definitely worth a visit!
All in all the house was fantastic, I couldn't have hoped for a better hen weekend and would highly recommend this property!
