Gail purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Gail chose Harewood
This house is available for the first time as a private dwelling being formerly part of the famous Harewood Estate, owned by the Earl and Countess Lascelles of Harewood , the Queen's cousin. It was built in 1750 designed by John Carr for the workers on the Harewood Estate. It is a very quaint cottage surrounded by similar properties and has enviable views across the Wharfe Valley at the front.

Close to Leeds and Harrogate
Very clean and done to a high standard. There were no issues.
The fireplace was the highlight.
Barbeque facilities were too public and overlooked for our liking, so did not use it.
Online description of the property, neighborhood and facilities could have been a little bit more descriptive to give a more clearer picture of what was on offer.
Adjoining properties were quiet and the neighbor was very friendly
Gail was very communicative and the cottage was very clean and comfortable.
Beautiful cottage everything you need and more decorated to a high standard with homely personal touches and spotlessly clean location superb with the red kites flying above easy access to York Leeds Harrogate
Very nicely presented and prepared
A well located well presented cottage excellent for 2 people but very tight for 2 couples.
The beds were adequate but the closeness of the main road is annoying. Kitchen and bathroom facilities were excellent and the neighbours very friendly.
Lovely cottage, great location, comfy beds, lovely weekend
The cottage is very welcoming. The provision of milk, bread, biscuits and Prosecco was most welcome, as was the honesty wine rack. The location was perfect for our family visit, easy access to Harrogate, Leeds, ilkley and the closer environs of armscliffe crag for a quick walk/climb/scramble, and otley chevin. The beds were very comfy, the shower was hot and powerful and the Woodburner was lovely. We would definitely stay here again for all the above reasons, we were very happy with everything. I would add a few basic kitchen utensils such as a potato peeler, cheese grater, decent measuring jug, another pan or two and some cooking dishes - we ate in with our kids and this was our only minor complaint but we made do and had a lovely time.
Thank you for pointing the missing kitchen utensils out , we had them last time we looked ! They will be replaced immediately.
Lovely quaint cottage
We enjoyed staying in Harewood Cottage. It was very comfortable and the woodturner was excellent for the cold winter evenings.
The property is situated on a main road between Leeds and Harrogate so there was road noise but it did not detract from the enjoyment of our holiday. Footpaths close by allowed access to the Harewood estate which was beautiful.
The owner, Gail, left us a welcome pack of bread, milk, eggs, biscuits and wine which we enjoyed - Thank you!
As we stayed in November we were out visiting places in the locality - Harrogate, Wetherby, Knaresborough, etc and all were in easy reach. If we had stayed in summer the cottage had a garden with seats and a BBQ. Parking ws great too as it was just behind the cottage.
