Lovely cottage in Dunster sleeping up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

Priory Cottage is tucked away on a small side street in the heart of this wonderful medieval village, just a stone's throw from Dunster Castle, St George's Church and the Tithe Barn. It's a deceptively spacious property that is set out over three levels. The ground floor is an open-plan living area with a large corner sofa to relax on after busy day, the kitchen has new appliances recently fitted and there's also a dining area.

On the first floor is a double bedroom and bathroom, which is comprised of a corner bath (with hand held shower attachment), toilet and hand basin. Upstairs again is the second bedroom with two beds; one 4-foot bed and a day bed. There is an en-suite shower room on the second floor, with a shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin. From the bedroom window glimpses of the Castle can be seen and the Deer Park beyond.

There is a courtyard in front of this charming cottage, table and chairs are provided.

Please note: The property is in close proximity to the village church and enjoys the melodic chimes of the Church bells every hour (including through the night).

Also, this property is not suitable for children under 5 years.

The kitchen is fitted with fridge, freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. There is a washing machine tucked away under the stairs.

A television with Freeview is set up in the lounge area and wifi is available at no extra cost.

Other equipment include an iron and ironing board, and hairdryer.

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Priory Cottage benefits from central heating, there is also a gas 'wood-burner' in the sitting room. Bed linen, duvets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Tea and coffee is provided. There may also be other non-perishable items like salt, pepper and oil available.

Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.

It is possible to park one car on the courtyard area in front of the cottage, but please note that the access is narrow. We suggest you make your own assessment regarding the suitability of this parking area (and depending on the size of your vehicle), before driving up to the front of the cottage. Free parking is available nearby on the roadside, which is a short walk from the property.

A well behaved dog (1) is welcome by prior arrangement. A supplementary fee of £25 will be added to your invoice. Please do not allow your dog on the furniture or upstairs and do not leave it alone in the property at any time.

It is generally recognised that Dunster is one of the most perfectly preserved medieval villages in England, with origins dating back to the times of Bronze and Iron Age Britain - it is a must for visitors to Exmoor! Situated in a sheltered valley the north-east boundary of Exmoor National Park, the Yarn Market stands proud in the High Street as a reminder that Dunster was once an important centre for cloth manufacture. There are many attractive and historic features, fine thatched cottages, a 17th century watermill (which still grinds flour), a pack horse bridge spans the little river Avill and of course Dunster Castle. Today the village has a fabulous selection of restaurants, pubs and tearooms plus a wide range of independent galleries and shops which offer a first-class shopping experience - more than enough to keep you occupied for at least a whole day!
