Full of charm and character and close to the slopes and village center, and recently renovated, this traditional chalet is the ideal location for a party of 10. The Chalet is situated just before the village of St Jean de Sixt , which is a 5 minute drive to the ski domaine areas of le Le Grand-Bornand or La Clusaz .
The chalet has just been renovated and modernised with new finishes throughout, now stylishly decorated in keeping with the lovely rustic feel of the chalet.
Cosy and comfortable, it has a large convivial kitchen/dining area with an adjoining lounge with wood burning stove, 1 lounge/tv room/bedroom, 4 double/twin bedrooms, ensuite and 2 bathrooms.
The chalet benefits from 2 large terraces for alfresco dining in summer and offers lovely views over the valley throughout the seasons.
On Entry to the chalet is a lobby area with a staircase to your right that takes you up to the main sleeping area. Straight ahead past the lobby is an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge with wood burning stove . A large rustic dining table seats up to 10 people. Doors open out onto a balcony with grape vines and views over the valley. Adjacent to the dining area is the TV room which also has bunk beds in one corner . Wifi internet , English satellite and French channels are available. This level benefits from a large bathroom with freestanding bath shower and basin. On the top floor are 4 bedrooms, 3 double rooms and one twin room . One double room has an ensuite bathroom . The other bathroom to share has a shower and toilet . To access the laundry and lower ground floor you must exit at the entry level and take steps down the side of the house to enter from a wooden terraced area . There is a washing machine, dryer sink and because of the boiler being in this area, a good place for drying out your ski gear!
Outside at the entrance is a boot storage shed with heated boot warmers for winter and all the equipment for barbeque in summer. A pile of firewood is also at your disposal .
You can park as number of cars at the property with 3 allocated space and plenty of spaces along the main road. You can also travel using the communal buses 62 and 63 linking the Chalet to Annecy on one side and LA Clusaz/Grand Bornand on the other. The Ski buses depart from St Jean de Sixt town center, 500m away.
The gated garden is a good area for children to play whilst parents enjoy the views and alfresco dinning from the main terrasse.
Michelle and Claude now manage the property. The owner is from the UK and loves this area of France where they come to stay every year. With their 3 children they find the chalet the perfect place to relax with a nice bottle of red, go cycling, trekking or skiing.

The Chalet is perfectly positioned to benefit from the 2 large ski stations of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand . It is also only a 25 minute drive to beautiful Lake Annecy in the summer. A wonderful location both summer and winter .
Cannot believe the amazing changes that the owners have made too this chalet - it has been totally renovated since our last stay. Everything brand new and so tasteful. The managers are excellent and answered all our questions and had the chalet beautifully prepared for our stay. I would give 10 stars if I could - we had a great holiday, thank you.
We loved this chalet! We stayed here on our family ski holiday for half term with 10 of us. It is plenty big enough, yet warm and cosy and has a lovely big open plan kitchen living area, with a log burner, which was lovely for the family to all be in cooking/relaxing/children playing games at the same time yet not on top of each other. The views from the balcony are stunning and so relaxing to look out on over breakfast. It has a lovely rustic ski chalet feel but with nice modern touches like the kitchen, lovely white bed linen and a big bathroom with a roll top bath perfect for relaxing after a long days ski. It also has a separate boot room with warmers to dry your boots out so they are lovely and warm and dry in the mornings... a real plus.
It is set near to a bakery, shops, restaurants (short walk to 2 excellent restaurants) etc and yet feels nice and secluded. Nearby you have the choice of driving to either Las Clusaz or Le Grand Bornard, both lovely little towns with an abundance more and with skiing for all abilities. We loved Le Grand Bornand where you can ski right out the back and ski in powder through the trees with few others around!
We also went to Annecy one night for dinner which is only 20 minutes away and a must - beautiful! I think this chalet would be beautiful in the summer too and we are thinking of coming back to mountain bike and visit Annecy again.
We had such a lovely holiday with our family, the children had a ball - thank you for making our stay so memorable!

It is a really nice house and it is very spacious, my stay there was very enjoyable and I would say it is a great place for families to take children all year round.
We have just returned from a great stay at Chalet Gueraudaz. The property was very easy to find from the directions provided, even in the dark.
The chalet was quaint, cosy and warm, the views were panoramic with snowy mountains in the distance. The rooms were clean and well equipped including the kitchen.
Michelle and her husband were very friendly and welcoming, offering extra local knowledge and were on hand immediately when we had an issue with the heating.
I am not a skier but would drop my husband and sons off in La Clusaz just 6 minutes away before returning to the chalet for some me time. I could walk to local shops and a cafe. La Clusaz offered many shops, bars and restaurants as well as a choice of ski hire shops. Would recommend eating at L'Outa at the top of the town. We look forward to returning in the summer.
This beautiful chalet is set in the mountains and has stunning views. A walk up the road will take you to a fantastic boulangerie selling the largest loaves we have ever seen! There are a couple of decent restaurants also within walking distance and an abundance of restaurants a 5 minute drive away in nearby La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornard. The chalet is extremely cosy and full of rustic charm, with a wood burning stove that warmed us up when we returned from the slopes. We were in very close proximity to the slopes, a very short easy drive, and the beautiful town of Annecy is only 30 mins drive away. ESF ski school was brilliant for kids and adults alike, and the instructors were brilliant. We all looked forward to our lessons every morning. Myself and the children had never skiied before and we came on in leaps and bounds as the week progressed. So much so that we are planning to ski again next year! The children were given little treats everyday and they both talked eagerly about their instructors, where they had skiied and what they had been learning. We loved our stay in St Jean de Sixt and we will definitely be back.
The property is just before the village of St Jean de Sixt, the village between La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand . It has parking at the entrance of the property for 2 cars and more parking spaces available on the lower side of the property. Two private terraces, one off the kitchen area with a large dining table, and another on the lower ground floor level offer views over the valley.
