This is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage which has everything you need for a great holiday base. It was lovely to come home to comfortable beds with lovely bedding each night. The games room was a great bonus for entertainment and drying beach gear. The cottage situation is very peaceful but within easy reach of Croyde & other coastal spots. There are some great pubs nearby too - we loved the Black Venus Inn and The Pyne Arms which are just up the road. The owner was very helpful and informative when she met us at the start of our stay, Thank you.

The cottage was beautifully designed, well equipped and comfortable. We could not have asked for more! Janet met us at the cottage and gave us all the necessary information about the cottage and surrounding area. She provided an incredible basket of goodies which we thoroughly enjoyed, particularly the red wine and pro secco. We found a nice up hill local walk to Kentisbuy church Which is beautiful. The cottage provided an excellent base to visit the stunning local area including Heddon's mouth, Sunday lunch at The Fox and Goose at Parracombe(recommended by Janet), Arlington Court and Watersmeet. The other highlights included Baggy point walk and lunch in Gergeham pub. Clovelly and Hartland Quay were a bit further but stunning and well worth a visit.
We enyoyed our stay very much. Ford Hill is such a lovely Cottage. It was the perfect location for our holiday. The boys liked playing kicker and billard in a big room next to the Cottage. Wie enyoyed sitting in the garden, reading and tasting all the regional specialities which Janet gave us for welcome. We also liked visiting the coast, especially Whoolacombe which has a wonderful beach and Lynton where we had a magnific walk round the coast and after that a very good cream tea at the villa spaldi. We are looking forward to coming back.

We all loved our stay. The cottage is spacious and warm with all the mod-cons. The owners are friendly but not intrusive.
The location is fab to get away from it all but not feel isolated.
