Biallid House is an impressive Highland house that sleeps up to 15 in 7 spacious bedrooms. The house lies within the Britain's largest National park, between the magnificent Cairngorms, and the ancient Monadhliath Mountains. Nearby is the the charming Highland village of Newtonmore home of the Clan Macpherson and, more recently, the setting for the TV series Monarch of the Glen, filmed on the nearby Ardverikie Estate. For those wishing to enjoy the local sporting activities that the area has to offer, there is a host of local fishing on the Spey and the Calder and the house itself has 1.5 miles of bank fishing on the Calder and 2.5 miles on the Spey (included in the price, as well as deer stalking and other hunting expeditions which can be organised nearby at Kingussie. There is plenty of local golf at Newtonmore, Royal Dornoch and many other courses within an hours drive. The house is a perfect base for a holiday exploring the Highlands enjoying local sport and walks.
This house was perfect for our family getaway. There were 13adults, 4 kids and 2dogs that all went and the location and size of house was perfect, the kids thought they were in a castle. Plenty room and great facilities and the wood burning fire was amazing. Amazing memories and looking forward to returning next year.
