Bob & Linda Cole
About Bob & Linda Cole
We both grew up in the North East and live here still. We have been regular visitors to Seahouses and the Northumberland area certainly for most of our adult lives. We have holidayed with our children as well as regular day trips in the summer so know these beautiful area's very well. We hope others will enjoy the benefits we love too.
Bob & Linda Cole purchased this Apartment in 2010
Why Bob & Linda Cole chose Seahouses
We feel the property is beautifully positioned opposite the Farne Islands and looking North to Bamburgh Castle. and only a 'stones throw' from the beach. We are always rested and refreshed after a visit.

Seahouses August 2019
A nice apartment with plenty of room. Fantastic location for the beach and an easy walk into Seahouses for the harbour, shops and restaurants.
A fantastic apartment in a perfect location
The accommodation was lovely and in the perfect location to access both the beach and Seahouses.
Yes, we did enjoy our stay location wise. The front and back gardens were very well maintained.
First impressions was the communal hall and stairs. The stair carpet was quite stained.
We did not receive what we paid for. The owners met us and let us know one of the toilets had a leak and could not be used. It would be repaired the following week when the flat was vacant.
This was a total inconvenience for us. We had booked this flat because there was an en-suite and a bathroom giving us 2 toilets. Without the use of one toilet it gave us very disturbed nights. If there had been more guests with us then they would have to walk through our bedroom to use the en-suite toilet. Totally unacceptable.
Personally for us we found certain parts of the flat too cluttered. No space on the unit in the living room for any of our items. Ornaments/trinkets on the coffee table. Living room window sills full of bits and pieces which had to be watched when lowering the venetian blinds. Very homely for some but not our style.
No shortage of items in the kitchen but left no drawer space for our personal items. Work surfaces again too much stuff around.
The bed in the main bedroom was lovely and large, which is what we are used to. It looked quite new but every time either of us turned or got into the bed it creaked. Again, this was quite disruptive through the night.
We would not stay here again as during our week in Seahouses we found better quality and better value for our next 2 stays. We really do like Seahouses and the surrounding areas.
Great apartment in great location
Two large double bedrooms, one en-suite with a second bathroom with shower, well appointed kitchen, very comfortable living and dining area. Just across the road from the beach and on the road just to the north of Seahouses. Ideal for coastal walks, north and south, and about a 40 minute drive to the Cheviots for what for my money is some of the best hill walking in the country, which we like a lot, but always nice to come back to base by the sea.
Will definitely stay there again.

Restful stay in wonderful location.
Apartment is good, on side of 3 storey building which was once a hotel. It has view of beach but not of Farne Islands. However, once outside, Bamburgh castle is on the skyline, and we walked to it along the beach, which is 3 minutes from apartment. Amazing sunsets.
Excellent location and apartment
The property is in a wonderful location just across the road from the sea. it is an easy walk into the centre of Seahouses. An excellent location to be based as there are many places of interest a short drive away. The property is ideal and has everything you will need for your stay. The bathrooms are perfect as well as the lovely bedrooms. I would recommend the propery and I will certainly be booking again. Thank you.
Alnwick town and Alnwick Castle and Gardens where some of Harry Potter was filmed.
Visit the Farne Islands by boat from Seahouses to see Grey Seals, Puffins and various other sea birds depending on the season.
There are lots of opportunities for walking in the area from a simple walk North along the beach from Seahouses to Bamburgh and a variety of coastal walks, to a much different experience of walking in the Cheviot Hills.
