Chessels Court on The Royal Mile - our three bedroom, well equipped holiday home is perfectly located to allow you to experience all that Edinburgh has to offer whilst enjoying the peace and quiet of the grassy square at the centre of Chessels Court.

A unique property which can accommodate up to 6 people comfortably (one person sleeping on a sofa bed). A contemporary, spacious and light living room with a beautiful fireplace and cosy cast iron stove will help you unwind after a day of shopping, there is a flat screen tv with many satellite programmes. The bright and modern dining kitchen is fully fitted with all modern appliances including microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and toaster. There are a full range of kitchen utensils, dishtowels, dishcloths, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher consumables as well as a selection of herbs, oils, flour, basic condiments, tea, coffee, sugar, foil and cling film.

The two double bedrooms are spacious and bright, each with a super king-size bed which can be split to make two single beds depending upon your requirements. Beautiful, hotel-quality Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels add a further touch of luxury.There is also a good sized single bedroom which has a lovely view over the grassy square.

Pamper yourself in the new bathroom which is furnished with a luxurious walk-in shower.

Entry to the building is from Chessels Court which can be accessed from three paths (or 'Close's') off the Royal Mile. Chessels Court is the only grassy square on The Royal Mile. The building is almost 300 years old and has a beautiful entrance and stairwell.

Please be aware that the apartment is on the second floor of the building and does not have a lift.

Edinburgh Castle. Holyrood Palace. Princess Street Gardens. The world-famous Fringe Festival and Hogmanay celebrations. The Six Nation Rugby at Murrayfield, countless bars and restaurants and great shopping for every taste and budget.

We have travelled throughout the world and have lived abroad a few times but our heart will always be here. The apartment on The Royal Mile is a perfect base to explore this amazing city.

This is a terrific property. Lots of room for our party of 6. Easy walk to everything. Comfortable beds and everything is well kept. Marion was lovely! Would highly recommend this property!

I can’t imagine a better place or location for our stay in Edinburgh. The location is right off the Royal Mile through a quiet and pretty courtyard. Marion and her son met us there and were very friendly and accommodating. The home is well kept and very clean. The beds and linens were great. We were only steps away from attractions, restaurants, and food stores. It was a nice place to relax after long days of walking. We had originally planned to travel to Glasgow and the highlands, but found Edinburgh too interesting to leave. It was hard trying to pick from the many locations available in a city we never visited. We really lucked out in picking Marion’s home and will certainly book with her again when we return. Thanks again, Marion, for lending us your great home.

Great central location in a lovely apartment

Excellent communication from the owner prior to arriving. Excellent location on the royal mile close to all amenities. Very clean. Plenty of seating for everyone in the lounge and lovely comfortable bed and bedding. Excellent walk in shower. For us (group of 6) the only downside was difficulty cooking for a big group. Small kitchen and no microwave but if your planning to eat out and there are plenty of places then this will not be a problem. I would definitely book again.

Perfect location, perfect apartment

Loved our long weekend in this apartment. The location was perfect for us. Nice and close to the train station and within easy walking distance from most of the city’s sight seeing hotspots. So many lovely restaurants to choose from right on the doorstep and also near supermarket If you wanted to eat in. The apartment is very spacious, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We didn’t want to leave! Marion was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, I would thoroughly recommend staying here. We hope to return again next year.

Wonderful apartment in a brilliant location

We loved our weekend visit to Edinburgh, staying in Marion’s spotless and well-appointment apartment. The location was perfect — right in the middle of everything but tucked away in a beautiful quiet courtyard off the Royal Mile. Would recommend to any visitor, and certainly hope to return ourselves at some point!

We really enjoyed our stay thanks to Marion and her wonderful home! It was centrally located right on the Royal Mile with everything we needed within walking distance. The apartment was very clean with everything we needed. Marion was very pleasant to work with and I hope to be able to use her beautiful apartment again!
