Great location!

This unit is perfectly placed in a wonderful section of Oxford. We were just a few minutes’ walk from everywhere we needed to go while in town for our daughter's graduation. Great restaurants, pubs and delis are just across the street and around the corner. The unit was clean and in good condition. It had a king size bed which is almost impossible to find in most accommodations in the UK and in the 2nd bedroom 2 twins were made into another king size bed for us. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for the limited cooking we did. Bathrooms were recently renovated and very nice. The owner, Bridget, was a pleasure to deal with. She helped us with suggestions for several services we needed to book before our arrival. On the day of our arrival, our flight got in early and she was kind enough to let us stop by and drop our bags off in the unit several hours before check in. Our security deposit was credited back to us the day we checked out. The unit had many nice small touches like touring info and maps of the area, a spare umbrella for those who forgot to bring one, lots of hangers in the closets, a small selection of DVD’s, a few games, books and some toys for young children. My only complaint would be the comfort of the main living area. The 2 love-seats were a bit small for 4 adults to comfortably recline after a long day of touring and activities. Also of note, although it was not a problem for us, to access this unit there is an exterior flight of steps and then another interior flight of steps. The main entrance into the unit is on the 2nd floor of the building, but the only things on that floor are the laundry room and one of the bathrooms. The rest of the unit is on the 3rd floor. As for noise, there was a certain amount of noise from the street late night on Friday and Saturday but that should be expected when staying in an area like this. The church bells next store only rang Sunday morning and Sunday evening and were not a bother at all and actually lent some nice ambiance to the place. We may have reason to return next year and you can be sure we will be booking this unit again!
