Break away from life and stay in this warm and inviting rustic log cabin. You may never want to leave!!
My husband grew up in this area and it is a special place to him. He spent his childhood in these 'great outdoors'. We wanted to have a place to bring our own family back and enjoy this beautiful country!
Lisa purchased this cabin in 2008
This cabin has been a 'part of the family' for two decades. We wanted to have a place to bring our family to visit and call our own. We were fortunate to acquire this piece of property from family and also 'moved'.....yes, moved, the cabin onto this land. We have put a lot of hard work and dedication into making this cabin and property a comfortable retreat. The remodeling process has been an adventure and we hope to continue to build a lifetime of memories!
The cabin was great and its location between 3 national parks made it even greater!
We were looking for an "at home" experience and this quaint cabin certainly fit the bill for us. We had the opportunity to relax and the German bakery just south offers amazing baked goods. Everything we needed was provided. Highly recommend and hope to stay again for a longer stay.
we booked the cabin for 2 nights and considering the plan we had where everything had to fall in place, taking this cabin was one of the best decisions. Had no trouble finding it. Owner was very sweet and took care of everything before we come. I couldn't find anyway our stay at this place could have been better. Thank you Lisa. Will be looking forward to stay there again.
Rustic cabins wasn't a 5 star condo, but it was perfect for us. About half way between Bryce and Zion. Great wifi
Overall found the cabin to be clean and nice, but thought it would've been good for someone to contact us while we were there to see if everything was ok. I talked to Lisa after arrival about only one channel on TV, But didn't get resolved.
The reason we selected the property was the location between Zion NP and Bryce Canyon NP to serve as a base camp for vising the parks. The location was very good, just like we expected from the posting. We actually enjoyed Bryce Canyon more than Zion, and the location was much closer to Bryce Canyon than other properties we considered. (Bryce Canyon is awesome, we even went there at night.) This is main reason for my rating of 4 stars.
We did not have any problems or unpleasant surprises. Our initial impression was that the cabin was more rustic than we had anticipated, but by the end of our stay the cabin felt very home-like. The proximity to the highway was closer than we had expected. Road noise was very obvious when outside, but seemed to be well insulated in the walls and was not noticeable from the inside when sleeping. The TV and DVD player worked well and were easy to operate. The Internet and Wi-Fi were very strong (much appreciated by our older children). There really was not much for our children to do outside while at the cabin, but we had a nice surprise to see a wild turkey and a few chicks several times in the back yard. We also liked the porches on the front and the back and used the swings. Showers, kitchen, gas grill, etc. worked well. It was nice to have a washer and dryer to use and pack less clothes. We had minimal contact with the owner, but did not need anything, so it was fine.
There are hometown cafes, beautiful scenery, public swimming pool, golf, and the laid back, easy going, slow moving feel of the small town country life.
