We could not believe it as we pulled in to this ALMOST mansion on Thursday evening just as the beautiful sun was setting to the west and arriving from Michigan to deliver both my daughter and my niece to the University of Arizona - There were 8 of us and being a home-away member we decided that for this particular trip a home would be so much better than hotel rooms- My daughter found this oasis on line and dealt with Laurie Ann- (WHO COULD NOT BE MORE WONDERFUL TO DEAL WITH) directly through all the planning stages of this trip. Upon Arrival we were breath taken by the size-and the qualilty of Lauries home - the incredible furnishings right down to the glass ware- it is all southwestern. My only question to Laurie Ann is why not DOUBLE your Rent - This has to be at Miniimum a 3 million doller place and yet dealing with Laurie Ann felt as though you were talking with your sister - What a pleasure!!!! She even gave My daughter some wonderful advise for her first year in school - Dove Mountain is spectaclar and soon the Ritz Carlton will be opened - But LaurieAnn - Have no fear they have nothing on your fabulous place-
It backs right up to Dove Mountain and we must have seen 50 or more of the beautiful creatures flying about. So again I will thank you from the bottom of my heart- You have made memories for my self and our family that will not be forgotten and we hope that you will allow us back in your exquisite home again- It was truly outstanding :) Thank you
so very much !!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a gorgeous property in a gorgeous area! The spacious home is beautifully decorated and maintained, and fully equipped with quiet back patio, pool and hot tub overlooking the fairway. We are a family of 5 adults and one toddler (even a crib and pack-and-play for the toddler) and we so enjoyed the privacy, easy access to nice hikes, beautiful landscaping and location, which was perfect for our needs. The owner responds quickly. We hope to stay here again!
My two sisters and I rented this house for a four night stay in early Oct. We were visiting Tucson as my 18 year old nephew, who travelled with us, is interested in attending U of A. We arrived on Thurs and spent all day Friday at the school. My nephew then stayed with a friend of his on campus. My sisters and I planned to spend the weekend hiking in the mornings and afternoons/evenings by the house's lovely pool. Unfortunately, we discovered right away that the remote control that turns on the heat for the water had not been left for us with all of the other items for the house. I texted Laurie Ann, asking where it was. She responded that she didn't know, and blamed it on other guests not putting things back where they belong. She offered no help, just said we'd have to look in all the drawers. My sisters and I spent quite a bit of time looking throughout the house, checking every drawer and cubby imaginable, many times. It was nowhere to be found. The water temperature for both the pool and the hot tub was in the mid-60s. It felt like ice. As the outdoor air temperature reached the high 80s / low 90s every day, it was unpleasant to be outside without being able to use the pool. This meant we spent most of our time at the house indoors. I texted Laurie Ann when we left to thank her again for the use of her home, but also to let her know that the inability to use the pool had put a damper on our vacation. That was 2 weeks ago. She never responded. I am still giving the house 3 stars because the house itself was lovely and we enjoyed staying there. But, if you are looking at renting this house in part to use the pool, please be aware that it may be unusuable and the owner will be of no help. You won't even get an apology.
We had a wonderful week in Tucson! There was something for everyone in our family - golfing, pool-time, hiking, tours, Zoo .... The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners were very easy to work with, no issues during our stay.
We decided to try Tucson rather than Mission Hills, CA this year and it was a wonderful decision, thanks to the beautiful house we rented. The home, not just a house, was as advertised and much more. We loved and enjoyed the privacy, as well as all of the creatures of the desert who made their presence known. We golf and hike so it was great for us, especially the hiking as my game didn't improve. Tucson is a very spread out area, so you really need a car in order to go to dinner or shopping, but that was part of the charm. Six people work out fine as the 4th bedroom would be more suitable for children.
The owners of this lovely home were very easy to work with and even allowed us to get into the home a few days early since it wasn't occupied. The place was very clean and well equipped. We will definitely go back to this home!
This was our second stay in this grand villa. Again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We experienced the surrondings with visits to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, the Mission San Xavier and Mount Lemmon. The pool area was also highly appreciated and most of all we enjoyed the to watch the sunset while sipping a drink.
