This lovely townhouse enjoys a central Pollensa location near the historic Roman bridge with local restaurants, shops and the main square just a short walk away.
The front door leads to a hallway with a double bedroom and bathroom, then 2 steps up leads to a large open-plan lounge/dining room which is decorated in a mix of modern and traditional styles. There is also a large wood-burning stove; from here through French doors you can access the large covered terrace with outside dining area, garden and the pool. The kitchen is also accessed from the living room with French doors out to the terrace and gardens where there is also a shower room and WC, upstairs are 2 twin bedrooms with a shared shower room and the double master bedroom with a en-suite bathroom and private terrace.
At the back of the villa there is a delightful covered "chill out" terrace furnished with a modern table and chairs, lots of pretty flowerpots and eye-catching white drapes to give shade – a great place to relax, dine while overlooking the pool and gardens or simply enjoy the backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains in the distance.
The splash pool, with lovely grey ceramic tiling, is gated and has a raised wood decked sunbathing terrace. The pool’s large steps are ideal for younger children to play in shallow water. A spiral stairway leads to an upper tiled sun terrace where you can overlook the pool area and enjoy the mountain views. Being a village house, there are neighbors either side so it’s not completely private but the garden is very peaceful.
Can't recommend this property highly enough!
The house is absolutely beautiful and just as it appears on the pictures. With it being a traditional stone house, it was naturally cool and we didn't feel the need to have the air conditioning on. The house is really spacious so even though there was 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children, we didn't feel like we were under each others feet all the time. The house is really nicely decorated and had been cleaned very well when we arrived.
The outside space in the property is also a big plus. The covered patio area was fantastic for getting a bit of shade and we ate all our meals here. There are also two other terraces which were great for sunbathing or for somewhere quiet just to read a book. The small pool was a big plus as the kids loved splashing about in it and it was great for cooling off.
When we arrived there was a lovely welcome pack of food and drinks so we didn't have to run to the shops straight away and Patricia called in to welcome us and to give us some more information about the house and Pollensa.
The location of the house is fantastic. There are local shops and bars just five minutes walk away and it only takes 10 minutes to walk into the town centre. The nearest 'big' supermarket is also only a 15 - 20 minute walk. Pollensa is well connected to the rest of Mallorca so we were able to get by bus to Palma for a day trip and we also had a day trip to the beach at Puerto Pollensa which is beautiful. The bus stop is just a 15 - 20 minute walk from the property for those that don't want to hire a car.
Pollensa itself is a stunning little town with lots of really lovely cafes and restaurants and fantastic independent shops. The market on Sunday mornings was also great for picking up really high quality, fresh food.
We would definitely stay here again!
