Family, Waterfront Home With Large Pool Set In Quiet Private Community

Pelican Cove is a family waterfront home with a large heated pool offering accommodation for up to 11 persons between the four bedrooms. Set in the beautiful and quiet private community of Siesta Isles with no through traffic.

The house totals around 2,900 sq ft and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms- one large bedroom and bathroom being in a self-contained unit (Pelican Nest) at ground level. This makes the home ideal for a large or extended family or say for grandparents to be with the family but to also enjoy their own space.

The large heated pool (30 x 12 ft) enjoys sunshine throughout the whole day and is perfect for playing/ doing laps, or simply chilling on the sun loungers (6 provided). There is also a large table with chairs for outdoor dining. The private dock on the canal right behind the house is a perfect spot for fishing or for mooring a boat which can be hired from one of the many local marinas. A cabana houses a hot tub with stunning views over the water. Quality outdoor lighting allows the pool area to be used and enjoyed after dark.

In Pelican Cove (upstairs), the lounge area contains a large sectional sofa so that your family can cuddle up and watch their favourite TV show or movie (blu ray player). The open plan recently refurbished kitchen area has a large dining table and breakfast bar. A large utility/ laundry room is connected to the kitchen. Patio doors lead out to a screened lanai overlooking the pool and canal.

The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with double shower, walk-in closet and TV. It also has sliding doors to the lanai where you can take in the bay breeze and canal activity. There are two other bedrooms, one has a double bed with direct access to the family bathroom and a walk-in closet. The third bedroom contains two twin beds and walk-in closet.

The downstairs unit (Pelican Nest) is made up of a combined kitchen, dining and lounge. There is one large bedroom/ suite with two double beds, one single, sofa and walk-in closet. A full length drape/ curtain provides additional privy between beds if required. The entrance hall also has a sofa bed if required. There is one bathroom with a shower. The kitchen leads directly on to the pool and patio.

Our home is also equipped with high speed WiFi. We also provide bath and pool towels, hairdryer and full size washer and dryer.

There are numerous restaurants and supermarkets (Walmart and Publix 1.5 miles away) nearby as well as other attractions such as golf courses, crazy golf, designer shopping outlets and of course the beach!

There is plenty of parking for 4 cars or more.

You and your family will love this perfect setting- so relaxing and peaceful and yet so close to everything, with something for everyone of all ages.

We live in the UK, 35 miles west of London, and have been visiting Florida regularly over the last 30 years. We purchased our first home in Fort Myers in 2002, an executive villa on Beach walk Isles. Having successfully rented the property and enjoyed staying there ourselves we decided, in early 2015, to look for a second home there which is slightly larger and also a waterfront home. We closed on this home in July 2015. We look forward to one day spend a significant amount of time at the home and to become boat owners!

Why Jim and Louise Allpass chose Siesta Isle

The location is first class in terms of being so close to the beach but also in a quiet and attractive neighbourhood. Prior to purchasing the home we rented this property for a few days to ensure that it fulfilled our requirements in terms of a spacious home and being able to enjoy the outdoor life. We rented a boat which confirmed that we could be in the Gulf or backwaters behind Estero Island in 10 minutes. Whilst enjoying the pool area we saw both manatees and dolphins swimming up the canal. The additional accommodation downstairs will be ideal when either our adult children, other family members or friends come to stay with us.

What a fantastic spot, perfect house, lovely pool and all the toys you need can be rented locally at great prices for a great holiday. Cycled Sanibel, kayaked all over, saw manatees, loads of birds big and small and managed to rest a bit too!

Great house & location!

We loved our vacation & working with The Allpass’s went smoothly.

The house has everything you’d need for the week, which was great! The pictures don’t do the property justice. When you walk in the doors, the main part of the home is beautiful! The kids loved having their own space with the lower level, just wished we could’ve gotten to it from inside the house, but still worked out great for us.

We had a few issues, but I believe the manager of the home or the vacation rental company was ill the week we were there, so maybe the boss wasn’t around to make sure things were completed from the previous renters.

Overall, great home & would rent again.

As you mention our manager was unfortunately off sick when you made contact and being 'peak rental time' others in the team were totally stretched. I have made them aware and have been assured there will be no repeat. Overall though delighted that you were pleased with the home and had a great vacation.

Great place with great location

This place is located just on the other side of the bridge connecting to the Fort Meyers Beach “main strip”. The house itself (we only rented the upstairs) is nice & located directly on a nice canal. The pool was nice & the hot tub was great for some of the cooler days & evenings we experienced. From the dock we saw dolphin. There are also manatee that like to hang out at the ends of each canal “cul de sac” which are situated at the ends right along the road as you enter or exit the neighborhood toward San Carlos Blvd. If you’ve never seen them, they are really slow and you might mistake them for rocks sticking out of the water.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and had lots of towels & basic toiletries to get you started. The kitchen was well equipped & comfortable for our party of 5.

If you have kids....The Naples zoo is a smaller but nice zoo with some great experiences. Zoomers is an arcade that has small rides, go karts, bumper boats & a bar for the parents. It was about 40 bucks each for our 11 & 9 year olds but good for a few hours on a day that was too cool for the beach. We went parasailing with a company right on Fort Meyers Beach just to the left of Times Square. Their parachute is a big yellow smiley face. They were great & the kids had a blast. It was around 150 for 2 kids for a two mile ride. Times Square & sunset in the evening is fun and a great chance to grab an ice cream & hang out.

Our hosts were awesome & commicated well all throughout the rental process. The home is well cared for, decorated tastefully, and we didn’t feel crowded. There’s lots of seating inside and out with plenty of lounge chairs & even an enclosed porch/patio if you prefer the shade.

I really hope we have the opportunity to come back here. It was a great rental. Thanks so much!

Great house in great location.

All the comforts of home. Used the dock to launch kayaks almost daily. A lower level was great when tides were low. Very nice pool and house is very nice on inside. Owner was very considerate and easy to deal with. We hope to return in the future. No complaints.

good value and nice neighborhood

I actually liked the property better than I thought I would, sometimes the pictures are a little misleading but not here. We met the property manager when we arrived and he was very accomadating and helpful. We had eight golfers in the house and had plenty of room , big screen TV's throughout and large pool and deck area's out back , plenty of parking, we will be staying again next year.

Love this house! Perfect for our group!

Jim is absolutely fantastic. He was so great working with us as we were unsure what Irma was going to do to the house, the area or if power would be back up. He gave us some options and it all worked out. We were able to go back to Pelican Cove which we absolutely love. The new dock area is beautiful and as always we enjoy the sunset from the patio. Do not hesitate to rent this home as it is very clean, well cared for and absolutely the best pool. Jim thank you again so much for your patience working with my group. We will be booking next year very soon!!!

The house is ideally situated for Fort Myers beach being just over a mile before the bridge over the Estero Island. Outside peak times and season the beach is either a 5 min drive, 30 min walk or alternatively the trolley bus stops at the entrance to Siesta Isle. The island resorts of Sanibel and Captiva are a 15 minute drive away. Miami, Tampa and Orlando are all within easy reach.

NOTE THAT THE RATES ABOVE ARE FOR THE WEEKLY RENTAL OF THE PELICAN COVE WHICH SLEEPS A MAXIMUM OF 6 PERSONS INCLUDING FULL CLEAN AT THE END OF YOUR STAY. Rental of the downstairs unit- Pelican Cove- (max 5 persons) at peak period is subject to a further charge of $40 per additional person per night over and above 6 persons. The rate, outside prime and high season, is an additional $25 per person per night.

If required (recommended Nov- Apr) POOL HEAT is charged at $150 PER WEEK

For rentals during Prime and High season arrival and departure day must be a Saturday
Security deposit: A valid credit card is required to be put on file at check-in.

We accept payment by bank transfer, cheque, PayPal or we can accept payment by credit card in US dollars only. Payment by credit card or PayPal carry an additional charge of 2.5% on the total amount being collected.

A grill/ barbecue or a crib/ cot can be rented during your stay through our management company. Each is available from US$75 per week (max $200).

Guests under the age of 30 can only check in with two parents or official guardians.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
