About Keith and Helen Farrell
We live in a small village in Poynton Cheshire we have always loved Ambleside and the surrounding area and finally purchased Fellside that was old and was in desperate need of renovating. It is now fully renovated and is ideally situated within easy walking distance to all amenities yet still in a quiet and peaceful position.
Keith and Helen Farrell purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Keith and Helen Farrell chose Ambleside
If you enjoy a peaceful quiet location yet want also to be able stroll into the village and be amongst the many bars and restaurants this is ideal. From Fellside you can walk easily to the village and Ferry port (Lake side ) The cottage shares a court yard where you can enjoy the sunshine and the views of the Lake.
What makes this Cottage unique
Due to its elevated position accessed by a small steep drive the views from the court yard and above the property are stunning this is one of the main reasons we bought the property. The bedroom and lounge have featured ceilings creating a pleasing cottage feeling.

Spacious, comfortable apartment close to town
Clean, spacious, well-equipped in a great location close to Ambleside
Nice Cottage. Although the way up the drive is a bit tricky.
Equipment of kitchen is a bit short, and some items incomplete or worn.
Well furnished and equipped, very clean. Parking a little difficult when all accommodations full.
Very pleased with the accommodation and position near to Ambleside.
A comfortable and well equipped property in a great location property
We stayed for four days at this property while exploring the Lakes district. It is well equipped and very comfortable and its location is ideal for visiting the area.
Great weekend retreat.
Great position, easy walk in to Ambleside and on to fells. Good views. Comfortable cottage.
Great property in superb location
we stayed for a week over Christmas. Cottage is very well appointed, TV's in every room, 2 ensuite bathrooms and 1 shared toilet. The owners had taken the trouble to put up a Christmas tree plus other decorations. Only a 15 minute walk to town along footpaths. Parking is a bit tight but not a big problem, we had 2 cars.
Access to hill walks with great views within yards of the property.
We really enjoyed our stay
