3 bedroom dog friendly holiday bungalow in spacious garden - with hot tub

Located on the road to Rothiemurchas and the Cairngorm Mountain Delmhor 1 & Delmhor 3 are newly build holiday homes furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The holiday home offers guests a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre yet is still within walking distance (2 miles) for guests who prefer not to drive, cycle or take a taxi to and from the town centre.

Both holiday homes have their own hot tub for those relaxing day or evenings at any time of year and the Hilton Hotel at Colyumbridge is just along the road where there is a restaurant, bar and spa facilities.

All rooms are on the same level. Delmhor 1 is a detached house.

Lounge/Kitchen/Diner – open plan living area.

Lounge – 3 seat settee, 2 seat settee and reclining chair. Large flat screen TV with Freesat channels. Coffee table.

Kitchen – modern kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils.

Dining area – table and chairs to seat 6.

Master bedroom – Double bed, bedside cabinets, built in wardrobes, en suite shower room.

Second bedroom – Double bed, bedside cabinets, built in wardrobe.

Third bedroom – Twin beds, built in wardrobe.

Family bathroom – bath with shower, wash hand basin, toilet.

Outside – front and back garden gardens have grass with patio area in back garden. There is a covered veranda at the front of the house with table and chairs for 4. There is a hot tub in the back garden and a lockable shed for guest use with washing machine and tumble drier. This space can be used for drying outdoor clothing and for storing outdoor equipment.

There is a private driveway suitable for parking 2 cars.

The house is in a small cul-de-sac with no through traffic.

The house is heated throughout by central heating and there is an electric water heating system.

Wi-fi is provided at no extra cost.

All bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the price. The holiday home is stocked with a starter supply of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls and other kitchen and bathroom supplies.

A deposit of 25% of the total tariff is requested in advance. The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday (or by arrangement for short notice bookings). A refundable good housekeeping deposit of £100 will be required as part of your final balance payment.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional cost of £25 per dog (small or medium sized dogs only please).

No smoking is permitted within the holiday home.

Due to the Cairngorm National Park being in a rural area, mobile phone coverage can be intermittent and dependant on your network carrier.

Travel cot & high chair available at no extra charge - please bring your own blankets.

Note: From July 2016 work will begin to build 5 houses in the same street as this property. The contractor has agreed to limit working hours to during the day. The area of work will be fenced off and will be secure.

Excellent place to stay

Really nice accommodation in an ideal location for all the area has to offer. Very attentive and efficient staff in the bookings office.

I would suggest upgrading the mattresses on the beds as they were quite soft, sturdier plastic glasses for outdoor use, robes/towels for hot tub, better privacy from back garden of Delmhor 2 when in hot tub. These were not major problems and we had a very enjoyable stay.

High Standards

We've been holidaying as as family for the last twelve years in Aviemore, and have stayed in a variety of properties, to which we must say this has set a new standard in terms of quality and overall ambience. This was the first time we have used Gael Holiday Homes and the booking / confirmation process was very straightforward and good levels of communication were displayed.

The house is very tastefully finished and oozes quality and space, obviously this comes at a cost, but we could certainly say we were impressed by the whole offering v cost and we look forward to returning in future to this property.

A great location!

A great location in heart of Rothiemurchas Estate. Great walking and mountain biking from the doorstep but also close to all other attractions and centre of Aviemore. Kitchen missing a few essentials but this wouldn't stop us revisiting.

Great holiday location for Aviemore activities

Positives - nice house and pet and child friendly garden. Outdoor activity storage shed and hot tub a great asset.

Improvement suggestions - mattresses very soft and in need of upgrading, no frying pan, no mirrors in guest bedrooms, sixth outdoor chair would be good.

Bank holiday weekend

Spent 4 nights at the bungalow on the bank holiday weekend. The accommodation was excellent with two double rooms and twin room for the children, a large open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen. The bungalow is beautiful albeit we spent most of our time out and about. It was a family holiday and everyone enjoyed the hot tub when we returned after a hard day walking and cycling, this was an added bonus. There is a large garden and the bungalow is situated at the end of a cul de sac which made it safe for the children. The location was ideal as the cycle paths were just across the road, so very safe for our young grandchildren. There are so many outdoor activities nearby it is a great place for enjoying the outdoors.

There are loads of eating places to choose from, some within walking distance and a must is the Mountain cafe for breakfast!!!

Fantastic Family Stay

We have been holidaying in Aviemore for a no. of years and came across Delmhor on our last trip. The location of the house is perfect, all the walking and cycle tracks at your door and close enough to walk to many of the restaurants and activities in Aviemore.

House is furnished very well and modern in style. Comfy beds and quiet surroundings. The hot tub is an added bonus (and kept immaculately clean, the provider appeared twice in our week to clean it!) The house is everything you could want from a holiday home and more. We will 100% be recommending to family and friends.

Location

Car: necessary

From the south turn off the A9 when signposted and take the B9152 toward Aviemore. Take the 3rd exit at the roundabout toward Coylumbridge B970. Continue past the Rothiemuchas Centre. Continue passed Delmhor (yellow sign) and take the next left 100 metres along. Follow the cul-de-sac round to the left and No1 is the last property on the right.
