Traditional Farmhouse & Guest House, Sleeps 19 in 8 Bedrooms and 6 Bathrooms

Set in 1 hectare of beautiful private parkland near the Cote d'Azur villages of Le Bar-sur-Loup and Tourrettes-sur-Loup.

Private but not isolated, Riveloup is situated by the river Loup, the sound of the water gently lapping over the rocks will create a calming and therapeutic atmosphere whilst you relax poolside finding a quiet place within. In the summer afternoons you'll hear the great sound of the singing Cicadas!

The views are tremendous on all sides, with the mountains rising dramatically in the background. Riveloup enjoys spectacular views of the Gorge du Loup and the hilltop Medieval Villages of Le Bar-sur-Loup and Gourdon.

Set in a magnificent flat lawned garden, planted with South of France umbrella pines, palms, olives and cedars. There are bushes of flowering oleander, jasmine, lavender, roses and an orchard.

On the south side is the front lawn and pool area with a fantastic 12 x 6m pool surrounded by sun terraces with several separate outdoor dining areas including a large shaded terrace with long family dining table.

Spacious and homely, Riveloup provides a peaceful environment for family and friends to get together for a relaxing holiday.

A beautiful 8 bedroom property consisting of a six-bedroom stone farmhouse, with 4 bathrooms (2 en-suite), and a separate guest house with two en-suite bedrooms.

The property can accommodate up to 19 guests in regular beds, additional cots and toddler beds can be provided.

Why Liesel Havercroft chose Cannes - Grasse - Antibes

Riveloup is very well situated, bridging the gap between exploring in land and enjoying the coast. The coastal town can get extremely busy in the summer and the traffic heavy, at Riveloup you'll be able to choose when you want the buzz, but you can come back late afternoon to enjoy a more peaceful time by the pool.

The sound of the river is very soothing and there are stunning views to enjoy from different angles of the property. It is close enough to town like Valbonne, Grasse, Chateauneuf, Le Rouret, Bar-sur-Loup or Tourrettes-sur-Loup to enjoy a meal out at night.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Riveloup is ideal for large family/friend get togethers as we're one of the few properties that can accommodate up to 19 guests in beds.

The property is set on 1ha of beautiful parkland with lots of activities, so you could still find a quiet place even if you are a large group.

The garden is flat and safe for children with the swimming pool fenced off. There is also a large sandpit, trampoline, table tennis, boules court and 3 different rooms to watch TV/videos in. We have bedrooms that are very well equipped for children, one with a boys theme and one with a girls theme.

We are well set up for small children and babies, and will try to accommodate you as best as we can to make your stay with children worry free, safe and enjoyable.

Riveloup is a delightful house in a peaceful setting within a lovely area of southern France .

We had a wonderful extended family holiday at Riveloup , there were 15 of us,we 3 older members stayed in the guest house which was ideal with its own area of seating and kitchen for a gentle start to the day . The rest of the family occupied the main house and the 5 teens throughly enjoyed their own rooms and tv (Olympics) . The pool and river were great and lots of swimming fun and exploring was had , plenty of towels were to hand . The more energetic did some walking through the nearby gorge which was very lovely with stunning views . The house is very well equipped and clean, lots of fridge space which is important when feeding 15 !! We all enjoyed eating together at the large outdoor tables and adding to the atmosphere with candles which were to hand . The coast is a short drive away where the charming town and exclusive port of Antibes provided an interesting visit . Liesel is an excellent host who did her best to provide us with information as we needed it . An amazing area to visit ,off the well trodden path but not isolated ,we had a great holiday !

Beautiful and extremely comfortable holiday home

Beautiful and extremely comfortable house, with a large number of bedrooms to accommodate big families, in a lovely environment. Furniture is perfectly suited and the swimming-pool is great. We loved it. Last but lot least, Liesel, the owner, is very nice and friendly.

Perfect for large families

A fantastic property in a wonderfully scenic location. We were welcomed by Liesel on arrival and given a quick overview of the property and nearby facilities and services. The friendliness and thoughtfulness of the owners was remarkable, not least of all in their assistance with getting a tire replaced, allowing us to focus on enjoying our holiday.

The property itself is large and spacious with plenty of room for large groups. It is well equipped with large and neatly maintained grounds, with something to keep everyone entertained, from toddlers to grandparents, making it ideal for extended families. The views from the garden is magnificent with both Le Bar-Sur-Loup and Gourdon clearly visible. The small lavender patch is a delight for anyone interested in photographing butterflies and other insects. It is a pleasure to prepare food in the kitchen and the covered porch next to the swimming pool is a great place for meals or just relaxing in a chair with a good book. On a warm day you can cool down in the immaculately maintained swimming pool, or walk down the the Loup river that runs past the property and take a refreshing dip in the river.

The property is easily accessible through a short 45 minute drive from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, making it convenient and easy to get to. It is conveniently located for day trips exploring the pre-Alps and nearby villages, or for longer day trips further into Provence. Visiting the lavender fields around Valensole or dipping your toes into the Mediterranean along the Côte d'Azur are all options for longer day excursions.

In summary, a wonderful property, well equipped with something for everyone, conveniently located and cared for by friendly and thoughtful owners.

Great stay

We stayed in the Cottage for almost a week. The property was as advertised and location beautiful next to s crystal clear river and with superb mountain views. It's a large property and would be great for families although we were a couple only. It's is a very quiet location but with easy access to various towns in the region and circa 30 mins to the coast and Antibe. Liesel was a great host and could not have done any more for us. The cottage was very spacious and well set up with everything you would need including English language TV not always available in Provence. We operate a commercial villa and we know what to look for. We thoroughly recommend it.

Great spot for a relaxing family holiday

This was our second family (15) holiday spanning 3 generations. Our first trip was to South of Spain and we decided we'd try somewhere different. We only had a week to appreciate the numerous facilities of Riveloup and South of France but the house and surrounding area lived up to, and in so many ways exceeded our expectations.

I wish we could have given an extra half star 4.5 would've been the ideal score.

Liesel had already shown her commitment to customer service by buying a guitar following a simple request to see if there was one available. She also arranged a table for lunch for us all at a near by restaurant pre-check-in - and even helped us by calling them to explain that we'd be 6 short following a delay in the flight from Edinburgh)

Liesel greeted us as we arrived in dribs and drabs (you need Sat Nav - and to trust your instincts - we ended up about 200 yards short of Riveloup - but called Liesel & she came to the gates - just past the fruit / eggs farm - to show us the way) a brief handover and explanation of everything and we were ready. She explained that we were her first rental since buying Riveloup, and to tell her if there were any problems whatsoever.

Property

The place in Spain had mixed standards of bedroom - but Riveloup bedrooms are all of a similar standard - comfortable beds and plenty hanging space - good showers etc. Could do with more power points to charge up all the inevitable phones, cameras etc. The important thing was nobody felt the were missing out. However the upstairs room (allocated to the senior citizens) had the benefit of extra space on the balcony with different views.

It became clear that the sunbeds inherited from the previous owners had seen better days. 4 ripped in quick succession and when we told Liesel delivered 8 later that day. Can't ask for more

The cramped kitchen is a problem but Liesel is well aware and has plans to improve the this later n the year.

Having a separate property for families, or party animals makes sense!!

Gardens etc

The outside area is fantastic - where to begin, highlights include:

- the spacious pool - focus for the bulk of the week

- river pool, fabulous spot (maybe some steps down?)

- large mature gardens - space to chill & get away from things if needed

- the BBQ's - top quality Webber and of course the Braai

- activities - table tennis & trampoline proved hugely popular

- dining table - focus no 2 for the meals snacks etc

- rattan garden furniture top notch

Riveloup is located down a peaceful country lane which runs beside the River Loup. It's just five minutes by car (1.8 km) from the picturesque village of Le Bar-sur-Loup with its local shops and good ion of restaurants – whether for a light lunch or celebratory dinner, pizza or gourmet cuisine. The larger shopping area of Chateauneuf is about 8 minutes away and it's 20 minutes to the lively market towns of Valbonne and Mougins and the historic centres of Grasse and Vence. Cannes, Antibes and the coast are about 45min drive in the summer and it's 25 km to Nice Cote d’Azur Airport.

Set in some of the most spectacular countryside of the Cote d'Azur, surrounded by the mountains of the gorge with breathtaking views over the perched hilltop villages of Le Bar and Gourdon. Activities are on the doorstep – golf, tennis, horse riding, mountain biking, paragliding & hanggliding, go-carting, and in winter skiing at the nearby slopes of Greolieres (about 30 min).
