The drive into the narrow streets around the property was like going back 150 years in time, so no traffic problems or passing pedestrians, perfect. This also means that parking is almost impossible, however the bus and trolley bus services are very good, within five minutes walk, frequent and just €2 one way per person (€3.50 for the trolley bus). So don't bring a car.
The apartment is ampley equipped, read the property discription, it's spot on. A bakery called 'Paparoca da Foz' is about 7 minutes walk away and offers some great food for breakfast or to take with you to eat later. Roberto and Sónia are great hosts and Pedro, the driver whom they put us in touch with, is also, without question, the only way to get to and from the airport. Three fantastic hosts, one awesome city. Get there before too many other tourists do.
Lovely place Porto friendly people nice flat
Nice Clean comfortable everything u needed people are friendly to would come back again shame not a pool to use
Lovely apartment in a lovely part of Porto
Overall, we were very impressed. Beautiful apartment immaculate condition. The only slight issue and this is not a criticism,is mobility issues for the elderly. Would definitely visit again.
Excellent location, peaceful and cosy!
Lovely apartment in a great location! Easy transport into Porto centre, great for riverside walks, a cosy restaurant and the perfect breakfast bakery!
Comfortable, great location a sense of the community!
Overall, we loved this apartment! It was located just outside of the downtown, a tram or a bus ride away. One can also easily access the ocean shoreline and park walkway. The apartment hosts were accessable and took care of any issues that came up during our stay.
Lovely apartment in excellent location
The apartment was even nicer than it looked in the pictures. It had everything we needed, is clean and comfortable. It was raining when we arrived and we found it rather cold. This was because we had trouble with the fire in the lounge, however, Sonia and her mother were very patient in helping us to overcome this. In hot weather the flat would be nice and cool.
The house is in a lovely location in cobbled lanes in an old residential area. It is near the tram and bus stops into the centre and these are frequent and cheap. The river is at the end of the street. There is a promenade to the sea.
Sonia made the process of booking and communication very simple. She responded to enquiries promptly and was very helpful. She also arranged our transport from the airport. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Porto.
Situated near the mouth of the Douro River and can take walks along the waterfront, or cycling through the channels provided for this purpose along the beaches
