Although the living accommodation is all on one level, the terraces have steps and there are steps to the swimming pool, therefore, we do not recommend wheelchairs

The villa, with panoramic views over the sea and mountains, sits high above Termini Imerese on the northerm coastline of Sicily. Mount San Calogero sits to the right. Parts of the Madonie mountains can be seen from the terrace and when there is no heat haze on the horizon the Aeolian islands can also be seen. The northern coastline is Raw, Rugged and Romantic and offers stunning scenary whether you stay near the coast or travel inland. The historic town of Caccamo, with its magnificent castle and Lake Rosamarina are just a few minutes away. The town is convenient for grocery shopping, restaurants and bars. You can travel down the serpente road to Termini Imerese and explore the Belvedere, where the locals enjoy their evening walks, with a gelato (ice cream, highly recommended) looking over the Gulf of Termini. Also every Friday morning Termini Imerese has a large, busy, colourful market next to the port The old town of Cefalu, with its beautiful beaches is 20 minutes away. There are many beaches and coves to explore along this coastline. Palermo is a wonderful city by day, with its colourful markets, shops and historical buildings. Also exciting by night with its street food, bars, restaurants, live music, theatres and nightclubs.

Palermo has been awarded the Capital of Culture for Europe 2018. It is going to be amazing, so book early for 2018.

Anne & Doug will welcome you on your arrival. We will come and meet you and guide you to the villa, if needed.

We will make sure the refrigerator is stocked with Water, Milk, Eggs, Fruit juice, wine and Beer. Also coffee, sugar, bread.....and some Sicilian treats so that you can relax and recover from your travels. The villa also has its own Extra Virgin Olive Oil, we hope you enjoy it!

If you would like to join us for olive picking (between mid October and mid November) and visit the olive mill to see how the oil is produced, you will be more than welcome. The days of olive picking go something like this...Pick a few trees..a glass of wine...pick a few more trees...Enjoy a picnic under the trees and maybe another glass of wine! The afternoon is much like the morning although a little slower. Make sure you leave enough room in your luggage so that you can take some oil home.

Thinking of a winter break?

Visit Palermo over the Christmas and New Year holidays, or stay local and celebrate with a gastronomic Sicilian Feast at one of the many restaurants favored by the locals.

February is Carnival Time here in Sicily. A visit to Acriale A truly wonderful Sicilian Carnival, approx 1hr 50 min drive. Also many small towns including Termini Imerese boast their Carnival! Teatro Massimo Palermo 35min drive, always has amazing events going on. Palermo also offers many Jazz, Blues, and Pop events. We can't promise the sun will shine every day during winter, but It does most of the time! take a picnic and a good book to one of the many beaches, you will have it all to yourselves!

Why Anne Deasy chose Caccamo

Everyone that has visited the villa have stated "This villa has the Millionaires View"

It is convenient for the Auto strada to get around the island.

It is furnished and equipped to a high standard.

What makes this villa unique

When you dine on the pergola terrace you will experience "infinity dining"

You will look out to the sea, past the twinkling lights of Termini Imerese and see the fishing boats, you will experience the Mount San Calogero glow as the moon rises behind it, whilst relaxing on the terrace or taking a night time dip in the pool . And if you are still awake at sunrise you can watch the birth of a new day!

10/10. What a place and what a vacation! Truly special villa with the highest level of hospitality and quality of home away from home. We enjoyed the hot days at the super pool, on the beautiful terrace and making short excursions to nearby venues like Termini Imerese gelateria, Castle of Caccamo, Forum shopping center. Thank you very much Anne & Doug for your unique hospitality and help that made our first visit to Sicily so perfect. Until next time! Arrivederci!

A Great View and Perfect for a Relaxing Holiday

  • 5 of 5

Our goal was to experience a little of Sicily and have a relaxing time. The Villa was the perfect place to relax with great views out to the coast from the pool and the terrace. Dinners on the terrace and drinks in the evening were a real highlight.

Weather was cool to start with, but soon warmed for a very comfortable stay. Many features such as the contraflow pool and outside kitchen are understated in the villa description, but soon add to the enjoyment of your stay. The indoor kitchen is also very well equipped for self catering.

Anne and Doug are great hosts with good advice and are on hand if you need them (a mile or two away) , but totally unobtrusive, allowing you to enjoy your stay in peace and privacy. All in all a great holiday in a lovely villa.

Lovely villa, interesting part of Sicily

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for a week in mid May. The villa is as described, very well equipped with everything you could need to cater for yourselves on holiday. One tip - the drive up to the villa is quite steep and narrow with tight turns, we had been upgraded to a bigger car which was a bit of a tight fit, you may be better off with a smaller vehicle (Anne did warn us to get a 'compact' car with power).

Anne and Doug were perfect hosts; that is, friendly, helpful and on hand if/when needed, but fading into the background to let you just get on with your holiday otherwise.

We were a little unfortunate with the weather, some cloudy days with a cool wind which meant we couldn't sit out in the evenings at all during our stay - such a pity - and only managed a few lazy sessions round the pool. We had one day when it rained incessantly and we had to remain indoors, lighting the burner and playing board games - we were so glad they were there!

We ventured out quite a bit, travelling to Palermo on the train as recommended (suggest you do NOT attempt to drive in Palermo!). The train from Termini was easy, and although there is a free car-park adjacent to the station, it was completely full and we had to drive quite a way away to find a parking space. We visited the street markets - great produce - and the Palatine Chapel, which was breathtaking. We also visited Cefalu, an easy drive, and toured the Madonie mountains, which were incredibly scenic. Monreale and Mondello filled a day on the way back to the airport. Monreale was busy but lovely, but we found Mondello to be a bit tacky and the restaurants / snack bars not up to much.

Apart from the weather, the only down side to the holiday was, if we are pushed and being completely honest, a limited choice of places to eat out in the immediate vicinity (ie Caccamo). We ate at the Castello a couple of times, which was OK, but not exceptional. Self catering at the villa is a better option, if so recommend you find the bigger supermarkets in Termini as the ones in Caccamo are smaller and more limited.

Can't fault the house or the hospitality of the owners though, and I'm sure others will have better luck with the weather!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so sorry that the weather was not too kind to you, if we could control it ...we would. But we are very happy that you appreciated the villa, the stove when you were chilly and the board games. It was a pleasure to meet you both and your Mother.

Beautiful, quiet location - a perfect spot from which to explore Sicily!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week in Caccamo and wished we had more time. The home is perfect, the views mesmerising, and the location ideal. The Prosecco and snacks that Anne and Doug left for us to enjoy was very much appreciated after a long day of travel. We highly recommend this spot for your trip to Sicily!

Home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Where to start? The owners Anne and Doug could not have been more helpful--they met us and guided us to the property--(down a narrow laneway and voila--a million dollar view), and after introducing the villa they guided us to a local super-mercado to stock up just prior to closing. The highlights of the villa are a) the outdoor patio, two eating areas and outdoor kitchen and bbq area and b) the main kitchen--this may have been the best equipped kitchen of any we have stayed at. When it was warm enough we would sit outside and enjoy the pastoral Sicilian setting--when too cool (in April it can get cool up here) we put on the pellet stove and kicked back inside. Although we did some local sight-seeing (nearby Cephalu and the Caccamo castle are terrific) this property is the one to chose when you need some down time to simply relax. We recommend it highly!

We would return in a heartbeat!

  • 5 of 5

We had been planning our trip to Italy for months and at the last hour we decided to spend our time in Sicily. At the last minute we decided to spend our time in one spot for the week instead of unpacking and repacking everyday, traveling around the island. That's when we came across Anne & Doug's Villa Stefano.

Anne & Doug are amazing people with keen eyes for detail who will spend time with you or keep completely away whichever you desire. They combine British sensibility with Italian romance to bring dash & panache to a small cozy villa with everything one needs for a long relaxing holiday. Honestly, whenever we needed something be it a hair dryer or a knife sharpener we would intuitively ask ourselves "well, were would one be" and there it was.

Not mentioned in other reviews are the remarkable indoor and outdoor kitchens. Both fully equipped so one finds what one needs in either without having to constantly run between the two. Quality pots and pans made cooking a breeze with every imaginable utensil readily at hand. Anne offered to advise on restaurants before we arrived but I stated that I was looking forward to cooking during our stay specificaly using the bbq. The next message from Anne asked if I preferred wood or charcoal. Buckets of olive and almond wood awaited me upon arrival. I grilled chicken, pork tenderloin, veal chops, veggies and assorted meats outside and made risotto and pasta inside. We feasted like royalty!

The beautiful terrace nearly triples the area of the villa's interior and has seven, yes seven different seating areas and the views are fabulous. We never left the mountain during our stay and Caccamo is a charming village just a mile away with 4 markets, 3 bakeries and several green grocers. There is no reason to leave but alas our stay ended much too quickly and as has been mentioned in other reviews, it is really hard to bid farewell to Anne, Doug & Villa Stefano. We would return in a heartbeat.
