La Rossetiere is an ancient Mas dauphinoise that has been restored.It has two barns and a small annex that is still being restored. The main house is on two levels and is basically four up four down, It is stone built and the adjoined barns and stables go into the mountainside. It is the perfect place for a family christmas or a country holiday. The ski resorts around Grenoble are close, The village centre has a variety of shops and services. It has a totally enclosed garden with several fruit trees and views of the mountains towering above.
It makes an excellent pied a terre for mountaineers or walkers as it is within the Parc du Vercors and all its natural beauty. La fontaine ardente one of the traditional seven wonders of the Dauphiné is within easy walking distance.
The Vercors was a main centre of the resistance during the second world war, the village and its surrounding area have an exceptional history.
Grenoble is only fifteen minutes away and Les Saillants du Gua is on the no 17 bus route.
Inside the house is a large fitted kitchen and three spacious downstairs rooms.Two of which can be used as sleeping space if needed. The entrance hall/sitting room has a jotul fireplace.
The newly installed central heating is run on gas. There is an electric oven.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and separate loo. There is a large mezzanine space with the staircase, suitable for extra sleeping space. It is suitable for either families or group use. You might need to queue for the loo if there are too many of you though.
