Only 270 metres from the beach but well protected from the bustle and noise. Set on a height of 40 metres, it means it can overlook wonderful views of the Port of Sóller Bay. The rental property, Es Vermell de Baix, has a total constructed area of 160 m2, with three bedrooms for a total number of 6 people; there are two bathrooms, one toilet, a big living and dining room measuring 40 m2, a separate kitchen with a second dining table and a pantry. There is air conditioning throughout. Private parking for two cars. Barbecue and bikes for guests.

Why Pep Colom chose Soller

We chose this plot of land measuring 10.400 m2 so as to have peace and calm. The size of the land means that we are protected from neighbours and noise even though we are very close to the sea and the city center.

What makes this house unique

Its orientation and position means that the property gets a lot of sunlight as well as having great views of both the Port of Sóller and the Tramuntana mountain range.

The Repic beach is just a short walk away and there you can find a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops of all types. The property is on one side of the bay and the Port is 500 metres on the other side and it can be reached on foot. There are also several hiking paths on the nearby mountains. The village of Sóller can be reached by means of a small tramway and Palma is accessible by the picturesque train, bus or car. The villages of Deyà and Fornalutx are also on different bus routes and very close.

Lovely apartment with superb views of the bay

Our first visit to Port de Soller - we were so impressed with everything: quality of restaurants, variety of walking options & super weather.

The apartment was excellent - everything is of a very high standard - the hosts are so helpful and friendly,

We would definately recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday, yet with activities (walking/cycling) on the doorstep.

gorgeous views and wonderful hosts

We stayed in September, as a couple, but the property was big enough for six people. Pep and Catherine, the owners, gave us lots of help and advice, both during our stay and beforehand via email. They were always there to help, if needed, but did not intrude upon our privacy. The property is very unique and has a wonderful charm about it. You are equipped with everything you need for your stay, even beach towels. There are views of both the beach and the mountains from the terrace and the house is situated in a position which is private, but still near to the beach and several restaurants.

Port de Soller is mainly based around the seafront promenade. This is lovely with a few bars and many restaurants to choose from. Not many shops though, if that is what you are looking for, but enough for our needs. The beach is fairly long, but quite narrow and stays shallow for quite a way out to sea, so good if you have children. We enjoyed seeing a duck parade down the beach with two young ducklings in tow. There are also many small fish to see in the clear water. If you fancy a trip inland, there is a quaint tram service to Soller which runs half hourly, all day and you can view the orange groves along the way.

In summary, a great place to stay in a nice resort, we enjoyed it immensely.

Amazing apartment with superb views and excellent service from owners

A beautifully appointed apartment with superb views from both terraces - the one off the bedroom overlooks the bay of Port de Soller and the larger terrace with the outdoor dining table overlooks the Tramuntana mountains. We spent many an hour with a glass of wine just appreciating our surroundings. We had planned to eat out in the town, but found that we loved the apartment so much that we had lots of meals at home, including using a wonderful gas barbecue. We used the option to order food from a supermarket in advance which was really useful and we were delighted to find that it had all been put away in cupboards and fridges when we arrived. Pep and Catherine were truly amazing hosts who could not do more to ensure that our stay went perfectly. We have already booked to return next year. There is a 5/10 minute walk down to the beach and the start of the promenade into the town centre via a well-lit, but quite steep road - which may prove difficult for the elderly but certainly didn't trouble us - it felt very safe to let our teenage children walk back at the end of the evening. We loved the area - Port de Soller has a certain charm that has been lost in some other parts of Majorca. We particularly enjoyed the tram ride to Soller - don't miss the market on a Saturday morning. Other places worthy of a visit are the Lighthouse just along the road to the left of the property - amazing views back down on the Port and fabulous sunsets (good restaurant too - El Pharo). Towns worth visiting : Deia, Valdemossa and Fornalutx. Also the windy road down to Sa Calobra early in the morning before there is too much traffic is also an experience!!! Can't speak highly enough of the whole experience ....and can't wait for next time!

A hidden Gem

Simply the best holidays we ever had

Dear Pep and Catherine and Gromit !

This were the best holidays we ever had !

So likely people you are, so fine rooms, the great views of both the Port of Sóller and the Tramuntana mountain range, the distance of noise … 

But at last, I hurt Gromit when the taxi arrived and we put our luggage in the luggage-boot – I am so sad about this and I cannot get it out of my mind.

Please, give him my kind regards !

We wish you the very best in the future, good health, good sucess for peps handycraft and machines, well-behaved pupils for catherin and for gromit never beeing hurt again

A beautiful house with fantastic views

We had a wonderful week at Es Vermell De Baix. The house was well equipped, stylish and comfortable and Pep and Catherine were on hand for any help and advice we needed. We really enjoyed walking on the many trails and exploring the unspoilt villages in this beautiful part of the island. Many thanks to Pep, Catherine and Gromit, the dog, for their warm welcome!
