Great location, in the central area, the Historical Neighborhood of Santa Catarina is a very quiet and picturesque neighborhood only 5-minute walking distance from Bairro Alto and less than 10 minutes from Largo do Chiado. From the apartment you can quickly access Cais do Sodre (10 min. Walking distance) and catch the tram (15E), the train to Cascais, or several buses passing in Bethlehem.

Depending on the hour of the day, a coffee or a drink at the Mirador de Santa Catarina (2 min. Walking distance from the apartment). Enjoy the beatifull view over the river, the roofs of the parish of St. Paul and west neighborhoods of Lapa and Madragoa, traditional neighborhoods of fishermen and 'varinas' (fisherman's wives) in long gone times.
In Luis de Camões Square (less than 10 min. Walking distance), take a break to enjoy the delicious Pastel de Nata, hot and crispy on Manteigaria, or coffee in the picturesque kiosk.
Walk down to Chiado square, take a peek to Brazilian, a traditional pastry, once the meeting point of men from the Arts. You can Briefly share the table, or even take a picture with Fernando Pessoa, Portuguese famous poet, one of the Brazilian's most famous and frequent customers.
Nearby, the Bairro Alto. In less pictoresque, with Numerous restaurants and trendy "taverns", Bairro Alto is the preferred spot of Lisbon's youth from Thursday to Saturday nights.
Leaving Camões Square, turn on your left on Rua da Misericordia. Further ahead the street changes name to Rua Dom Pedro V (but does not lose character!). You will soon find out que Principe Real is now a square full of life and charm, with plenty of trendy restaurants, taverns and bars, and all sorts of shops.
Lose yourself downhill, down the street from the Century Which will get you close to Santa Catarina. Go back to Largo Camões and walk down Rua do Alecrim to Cais do Sodre, and take a peek at the antique shops, Bookshops or tile store on BOTH sides of the street. On the other hand if yu choose to walk down the Rua das Flores, you will soon find out there are many que restaurants worth visiting.

As the apartment is located Within the Historical Neighborhood of Santa Catarina private cars are not permitted inside this area. However, taxis are allowed and we recommend you to take one upon your arrival at the airport / train station. Should you prefer we are more than happy to help you to book the shuttle. There is a car park (paid) 2 min. away from the apartment in Causeway Combro, 70-78, (GPS: 38 71108889, -9 147 811 111..).
