Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday villa in New Castle - Coral Reef Villa

1 Bedroom, 1 full bathroom, sleeps 2

IF YOU ARRIVE IN ST KITTS or NEVIS we will meet you at the airport and transport you FREE OF CHARGE to Coral Reef Villa. Coral Reef Villa is the perfect luxury choice for a couple on a honeymoon or romantic vacation or an individual. This is the newest, best equipped, most luxurious villa with the most acreage and spectacular mature tropical gardens of the 3 rental villas in the Nisbet Beach area. The location is very desirable with the property extending to our beautiful white coral sand beach and a short distance to the beach facilities of a small upscale resort and yet privately screened by many types of palms and exotic flowering bushes. You can sit around the large pool or on the huge screened in porch with 2 hammocks, comfortable lounge chairs, large dining area and watch the waves curling on the reefs. The large kitchen has the latest appliances and dishwasher. Washer, dryer, wireless internet, generator are also available. A caretaker will be available to greet/assist you.

Why we have so many repeat guests: Our many repeat guests tell us why they return A) Location: direct access to our family's 3 white coral sand beach lots near pristine coral reefs and with miles of beach to explore with views of St. Kitts. The villa itself on almost an acre of privately screened tropical flowering foliage so although secluded it is still adjacent to a small resort and its beach bar and restaurants and spa. B) Private pool with virtually chlorine free system that is hidden by tropical plants with the perfect amount of sun and shade on the pool deck.C) 'Awesome' 'Amazing ' 'Fantastic' villa and the photos don't do it justice. It's so luxurious, well equipped and yet so comfortable. D) Having Marlon meet them at the airport or ferry and transport them to the villa where the caretaker waits to greet them and is available during all their stay. Jeannette, the maid has the villa immaculately clean and is available, at your choice of time, free, for 2 hours a day. Pouchee the gardener grows fruit for them.

Included in the rental at no extra charge : are the maid services six days a week except Nevis holidays and Sunday ( when most Nevisians spend 2 hours a day in church ) Also included at no charge to you will be your pickup at the ST KITTS or Nevis airport or one of the ferry or boat docks on Nevis. When you arrive at the villa my caretaker will greet you and give you an orientation and will be available during your stay free of charge. She will give you an expensive and very helpful book on Nevis full of colored photos and informative text which is a gift from Jane, By e-mail Jane will send you

an A to Z info of things to see and do with names and phone numbers based on 23 fun years on Nevis. A to Z includes airline ideas ( you can now fly in to Nevis directly from San Juan ) and possible airline savings, restaurant guide, rental car recommendations and savings, grocery stores and hours etc.

Enjoy bananas, oranges, lemons, avocados etc: which are grown on the property. From the spacious screened-in veranda you'll have an unobstructed view of the ocean and it's nearby coral reefs, while dining or relaxing on cushioned chaise lounges or in comfortable wicker chairs or two hammocks. The large modern kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher so you can cook a gourmet meat if you prefer to eat in. There is a propane gas grill on the back patio. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. More amenities include cable TV with HBO, DVD and VCR players, with many CD's or Videos for you to enjoy. A new sound system, with many music CDs to choose from, can also play your I-POD music. Although it's tempting to stay at Coral Reef's beach, or pool or on the porch do take a short walk to enjoy a drink or a meal at the Nisbet Plantation beach facilities. Then explore the island with it's many historical sites ie plantations, forts and museums. Enjoy meeting friendly Nevisians. Have fun watching for monkeys, donkeys.

2 couple getaway delight

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful unspoiled island and perfect island villa. Very well maintained with manicured gardens lined with cockle shell paths to a private ocean beach and views to pounding surf. Housekeeper and pool/gardener polite and thorough. A paradise holiday next to a lovely welcoming plantation. Will come again to same villa as it has defined perfection, relaxation, and " I deserve-ability".

Paradise at Coral Reef

  • 5 of 5

When we read all the reviews on Coral Reef we thought there must be some exaggeration but far from it , the whole experience was just wonderful.

Jane has thought of everything to help make your holiday relaxed and enjoyable. her team is amazing, not only Daisy, Wincett and Marlon but another lovely man who rakes the seaweed of the beach every day plus the gardener who keeps it all looking so lovely. The villa itself is super, plenty of space, lovely and cool, so many places to sit ,views of the sea and reef from the front and the mountains if you sit out the back in the garden. Every thing was just great and all though the bed creaked sometimes we slept like logs after an energetic day.the Wi-Fi was great and we did not need the TV or video. Great fridge in the kitchen which produced ice at will. perhaps being English the only thing we missed were cups and saucers !!

We ate out a few times but Jane introduced us to Mr Perkins the fisherman who brought us lovely fresh fish and lobsters to the door !!

Near the Nisbett Plantation if you want to use their facilities but we preferred to go to other restaurants most of which you can reach in 10 to 15 minutes drive in the lovely car hired from Marlon who took us on a tour of the Island which gave some idea of the make up of the Island.

Ron and Jane are a lovely couple who go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay as nothing was ever too much trouble.

Where we will ever find such a perfect location again !! Plus Coral Reef is too booked for next year but for us this was truly our PARADISE !!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We would be delighted to have you return and antique British cups and saucers will be waiting for you, as well as our "amazing team", as you correctly described them. We all will happily welcome you again.

Honeymoon in paradise!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just stayed a week at Coral Reef for our honeymoon and it exceeded every expectation! Jane Paul is the best. She replies quickly and answered all of our questions thoroughly. If you are looking for a place to RELAX, this is it. The garden around the pool provides both beauty and privacy. The pool itself was great, with both a shallow and deep end.

I can't even explain how nice the screened-in patio was to have. It is massive. There are 4 doors (two in the living room, one in each bedroom) that open up to the patio, giving the whole house a very breezy and open feel. I spent several hours after the sun went down and before it came up laying in one of the hammocks reading. It was so peaceful.

As other reviewers have said, the process of getting from the airport to Coral Reef Villa was very smooth. Daisy (taxi driver), Wincent (taxi boat captain), and Marlon (taxi driver/car rental shop owner) were all very nice and fun to talk to. I would recommend renting a car from Marlon. He had ours waiting at the villa when we arrived. We were able to sign the paper work and pay for it there. Very easy. Having a car allowed us to get to the grocery store, as well as other beaches and restaurants. Driving on the island is easy, there's really just one main road that circles it. Just watch out for the sheep and goats!

We spent quite a bit of time at Nisbet Plantation (which is literally right across the gravel road) and everyone there was fantastic. They have a little beach bar and allow you to use the beach chairs they have set up. The restaurant at the Great House is top notch.

One of the more pleasant things about the Villa is how secure you feel there. We had never been to Nevis and didn't know much about it. Of course, security is something you worry about regardless of where you travel. Coral Reef is a good distance off the main road. It is gated. All of the entry doors are solid and have dead bolts. The veranda locks as well. There are plenty of lights. We never felt insecure one time at the Villa, or anywhere in Nevis for that matter.

I could keep babbling on for several more paragraphs... but I think my point has been made. I could not give this place a higher recommendation. We will certainly be back as soon as possible! Thanks for the wonderful memories, Jane!

INCREDIBLE! Abdolute Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

Words cannot describe how beautiful this villa is. Me and my husband just got back from a week long stay at Coral Reef for our honeymoon.

Jane Paul arranged our arrival, where we were greeted by Daisy at the airport, then had a boat waiting for us to take us to Nevis, and then a lovely man, Marlon, who took us to the villa. Bonnie greeted us and showed us around the villa and told us to contact her should we need anything. This villa is huge! Beautiful screened in porch, huge kitchen and living room, enormous lot, and plunge pool that is just perfect for a swim anytime of the day. We decided to rent a car from Wednesday-Saturday, which was easily arranged with Marlon. Got to explore the whole island; we probably drove around the island around 12 times during our stay.We ate at most of the inn's on the island (Golden Rock, Nisbet Plantation, Montpelier, Hermitage, Four Seasons). Of all of the beautiful hotels on the island, we felt incredibly lucky to be staying at Coral Reef Villa. Though all of these hotels are beautiful, the privacy, value and luxury of Coral Reef is unprecedented. The Nisbet plantation is literally right next door, and you get to enjoy the perks of being a neighbor to them. We ate breakfast at their beach front restaurant called Coconuts every morning. Service is exceptional, and food just delicious and worth the price! You get to enjoy the buffet continental breakfast (fruit, croissants) and order something special off the menu.

Golden Rock was our next favorite place to eat. We also enjoyed the 3 hours trail hike to the islands water source, which you start from Golden Rock.

Nevis is an untouched island, free of too many tourists, so you get to really enjoy the island culture and meet some interesting and funny people. We felt safe the entire time. Locals are just so friendly and inviting. We went during "off" season which was nice because the island wasn't too busy with tourists.

All of the beaches are beautiful. We especially liked Oualie and Lover's Beach. We had Lover's Beach to ourselves one day.

We did the boat cruise with Miles from Nevis Yachts which was awesome. We did some snorkeling around St. Kitts.

All in all the best vacation honeymooners could ask for. It was also lovely having a housekeeper come in every day to make the bed, clean dishes etc. Made you feel like you were staying at a resort.

Just perfection!

Relaxing in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations I have had. Jane Paul is the owner/director extraordinaire. We received prompt, accurate information from day one through the entire process. Her recommendations for activities and dining were spot on. Wherever we went on the island and we mentioned that we were guests of Jane Paul, the locals immediately recognized the name and gave us superior service. It was evident that Jane is locally involved and the people appreciate her dedication.

We had a group so we rented both Lazy Turtle and Coral Reef. The view from Lazy Turtle's screened porch to the ocean with the palm trees swaying in the trade winds was so relaxing. We could walk to the beach and collect shells or swim. It was evident that great care was placed in the gardens around both properties. The flowers and blooming bushes were exquisite. My camera never stopped.

The furnishings in the villa provided everything to meet our needs. All was in good condition and I felt comfortable and at home.

Jane suggested the Thursday Night Beach Buffet next door at Nisbet Plantation. DO NOT miss it. The food was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The deserts were small pieces where you could sample it all...almost.

Other restaurants that were suggested that we visited were" Mount Nevis Hotel, Golden Rocks for their crab/lobster salad, Sunshine's for a Killer Bee, Yachtsman Grill, Bananas, and Beach Pizza. All provided a little different atmosphere and cuisine.

Jane made transportation easy with her recommendation of "Marlon" for a rental car and Daisy for pick up at the St. Kitts airport and Vincent's water taxi to Nevis. Timing, directions, and accuracy were- "10".

The landline in the villa made it easy to make local calls. We used our cell for long distance and texting. FREE internet service at the villa made keeping in touch and updating a breeze.

Nevis is a great place to go and relax. It isn't too commercial, but there is enough. Marlon gave us an overview tour of the island with enough information to "wet" our appetite for what we wanted to go see on our own. We bought wood carvings from Kennedy, toured the many local churches of history, the Botanical Gardens, the Craft Market, Jewish Cemetery, Fort Charles, and went deep sea fishing... which Jane was kind enough to schedule and set up. The men went golfing one day. There is a small market near the villa for staples and there are several large grocery stores within driving distance. GREAT!

One of our best holidays

  • 5 of 5

The villa was better than expected, the large verandah really good. Everything we needed for a comfortable week was there.

We were met off the plane by Marlon and he arranged a rental car for us (Must have on Nevis). Jane, the owner was at the villa to greet us and was available when/if needed during the week with advice and help.

Marlon's Island tour was first class - not stopping too long anywhere but just enough to whet the appetite.

There are great places to eat on the Island - fish is fresh and perfectly cooked at most of the places we tried.

All in all a wonderful week - we are going back next year for two weeks!

Nisbet Beach area is away from the hustle and bustle of any town and it's always with a happy feeling of homecoming to return to our special spectacular ocean views and refreshing breeze.

The trade wind breezes are a special blessing in the Caribbean where they almost constantly blow and have a cooling effect which off sets the average temperature in Nevis which is usually in the low to mid 80's. The trade winds keep the palm fronds rustling and swaying and are a soothing feature, especially on our side of Nevis which is in the perfect location to get the maximum benefit from the trade winds coming from the North East. No need for anything other than quality ceiling fans and a dip in the pool or sea where the temperature stays about 82 degrees.
