Modern and light filled holiday cottage for up to four people within easy reach of Goodwood, Arundel and Chichester.
Harbinger is a self contained holiday cottage sitting in the grounds of its owners' home. It has its own private terraced area immediately outside the cottage, which is bordered by some interestingly clipped topiary. Beyond this lies the owners' own garden, which can be used with their agreement. This cottage has good accessibility, and can be used on the ground floor by wheelchair users. The hallway leads to a good sized bedroom with king sized bed. The ground floor bathroom can be used as a wet room as it has an extended length shower hose. The kitchen is compact but has a full sized oven and hob and there is also a dishwasher. The living and dining room is flooded with light, as it has folding doors to one side, and a vaulted, double height ceiling. There is a wood burning stove to add focus and supplement the under floor heating. Upstairs is a spacious landing with sofa overlooking the living room below. There is also a bedroom with two single beds and an adjacent shower room.
Walberton is mid way between Arundel and Chichester, and has easy access to both. The compact town of Arundel has the Castle and the Cathedral, as well as a range of independent shops and eating establishments. The river Arun flows through the town, and the town rises magnificently above it. Chichester is the county town of West Sussex, and has been a centre of Sussex life since the Romans came to Britain, if not before. The ancient city wall partially encloses the centre of the city, and the Cathedral lies within the walls. Just outside is the Chichester Festival Theatre, which reopened in 2014 following a major refit. The quality of productions is superb, and many go on to London's West End. Goodwood House is close to Chichester, and the famous Goodwood motor circuit, home to the Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival is in the grounds. Goodwood Racecourse sits on the Downs above, with regular race meetings.
