House on the Brooks
A re-creation of a 'Saxon Hall' which makes a luxurious holiday home for up to twelve people in the peaceful Rother Valley.
In the centre of House on the Brooks is a spacious living/dining room with vaulted ceiling and a wide expanse of glass doors to maximise the view. The kitchen area is at one end of the living area, and though compact is fully equipped. To either side of the living room there are two bedrooms, making four in total. Each bedroom has an individual theme, and a bathroom that continues the theme. One of the bathrooms has a shower, the other three have baths. Each bedroom can be set up with three single beds, or a super king sized bed and a single. The owner will discuss the bed arrangement with you after you have booked. Outside there is a large patio area, perfect for a barbecue and outdoor dining.
Hardham is a hamlet just south of Pulborough, and close to Arundel, Chichester and Littlehampton. The nearest shops are at Pulborough, which has supermarkets and independent shops for your food needs. Pulborough is home to the RSPB's Pulborough Brooks reserve, a large area of wetland and water meadow that is a popular destination for over wintering migratory birds, and a varied permanent bird population. A little further away on the edge of Storrington is Parham House, a magnificent privately owned Elizabethan House, which is open on various dates in the summer months. Arundel Castle is also open seasonally, and along with Petworth House to the west provides one of the architectural highlights of this part of West Sussex. Goodwood is slightly further to the west, where horse racing and motor sport are on offer. The Sussex coast is also within easy reach, as is Midhurst for polo at Cowdray Park. All in all there's a great deal to do very close by.
