The House is very cozy in a Beach Cottage style that offers you peace and harmony. All rooms and living room overlook the Atlantic Ocean, you do not need to leave home to enjoy this beautiful beach, as the house still offers you 2 terraces with sumptuous views, where you can smell the sea without leaving your comfort.
It has a patio where you can quietly enjoy your meals and grill with the fish you buy on the beach.
The house is single storey with 4 bedrooms, all wheelchair accessible.
If you are looking for a quiet beach that seems to have stopped in time, this is the right destination for you. (!)
Costa de Lavos is located in the center of the coast 11 km from Figueira da Foz, 36 km from Pombal, 48 km from Leiria, 60 km from Coimbra, 73 km from Fátima, 100 km from Óbidos, 140 km from Porto and 186 km Lisbon. It is a wonderful place and a strategic point where you can simply stay and enjoy or enjoy getting to know the whole country.
The sandy beach is out of sight, ideal for long walks, kitesurfing or other sea-related activities, fishing or simply watching the traditional fishing known as Xávega (between May and September), where you can watch the exit. from fishermen to the sea and collecting fish nets and selling them directly on the beach in a very traditional way.
But if you feel the need for excitement, nightlife, shopping, you have Figueira da Foz 11 km (10 minutes) where you can find everything you need, from Shopping, Casino, Cinemas, Marina, Restaurants, Traditional Fish Market and vegetables.

What an amazing place to stay!

Casa na Areia is really as good as the photos. From a beautiful, light filled house, you hop over the wall and you are on the beach. All the rooms over onto a spacious patio area and there is a upstairs terrace as a bonus. The kitchen is very well equipped and lots of storage space throughout the house. Helena is a very warm, welcoming host and was always available for us if we had any questions. There is a lovely local restaurant around the corner which is very inexpensive. The beach is fantastic but with small kids you will need to wander a bit further down from the house for safe swimming. Overall, if you are looking for a great beach house in a fantastic location..look no further!

A wonderful, warm and welcoming stay to a fabulous beach house located at Costa de Lavos

Hi, we are 5 Australians who have just enjoyed Helena and Carlos' beach house. The location is superb, directly on the foreshore and the views are uninterrupted. The beach house has 3 outdoor spaces to enjoy and relax and the fitout is a fully functioning home. Casa na Areia has all household equipment, utensils and as advertised the photos are 100 percent the truth. You will love to explore the small village of Costa de Lavos where the beach house is located. Do visit the local female butcher. So helpful and very good meat. Also do enjoy the daily the fishermen's boats morning and night and watch the local excitement of that day's catch being unloaded. Of course you will need a car to stay at this beach house and from this location we explored local cities such as Aveiro, Coimbra, Nazarre and Obidos. It was so nice to come home after a day trip and prepare a feast each night (great kitchen) and to enjoy the terrace and the sound of the Atlantic Ocean as we slept. Helena and Carlos are very efficient and so hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble for them to organise, including a welcome meal cooked by a local lady and a GPS address that Helena sent us to find the house. The beach house is immaculately clean and so comfortable. Thank you sincerely Helena and Carlos for the enjoyment that you gave us. Suzie, Charmaine, Kerry, Kelly and Tommy. June 2018

Beautiful House right on a perfect beach perfect for a relaxing break.

My friends and I stayed in this beautiful house for 3 days to relax after a few days in Porto. Helena was lovely and helped us with everything we needed! We spent our time relaxing on the beach and having wonderful barbecues, enjoying the outdoor space that the house offers. There were 4 of us which was perfect for the 4 bedrooms but I think the house would also be perfect for 3 couples, a family or even 2 families with children! There was lots to do at the villa and there was everything you could need. Fig du Foz was a short drive away, as was a number of other beaches. We ate in the local restaurant on the last day which was 10euros for a drink and 4 courses which was very good value. There is also a snack/drinks bar close by. If you are into golf, there is a nice 9 hole course about 30-40 minutes away which we enjoyed. I would definitely recommend staying at this lovely house if you are looking for a relax by the beach.
