|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
This detached 260 year old character holiday cottage is set within the quiet historic Oxfordshire village of Souldern at the end of a no through road. The poet, William Wordsworth, stayed here in 1820 and afterwards he wrote the sonnet ‘A Parsonage in Oxfordshire’. Souldern is an excellent base for touring many surrounding areas and is just 7 miles from Bicester with its famous shopping village, and a similar distance to Banbury. To the north of Souldern explore the Northamptonshire border, ideal for access to Silverstone. Slightly further afield, discover Oxford, Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, chic Leamington Spa and Regency Cheltenham, as well as Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Bourton-on-the-Water with tearooms, antique shops, art galleries and gift shops. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 800 yards.
