2 minute walk to the tube, restaurants and parks nearby, a beautiful light flat

This newly refurbished first/second floor flat is perfect for short or long-term lets. Close to London's major attractions and yet retaining a village atmosphere, with parks and the river Thames close by.

The 3 spacious double bedrooms are light, airy and comfortable, and all have large cupboards, shelves and plenty of hanging space. If you are a family of 4, or just 2 couples, we are happy to close the main bedroom and lower the rent accordingly. There are 2 new bathrooms, both with showers with large American style shower heads, and with ample space in cupboards for all toiletries.

Upstairs is an 'open plan' sitting room/kitchen. The kitchen is new and well equipped and the sitting-room has a large L shaped sofa, a 40"' flat screen TV and a DVD, iPod dock and WiFi. There are double doors leading out on to the patio from the kitchen, with table and chairs for outdoor eating. The kitchen/sitting room area is spacious and light, with a dining area close to the kitchen.

The flat is situated in a small quiet street in a typical period Fulham house, within a 2 minute walk from Putney Bridge Tube Station. There are frequent buses into London from both the Fulham Road and Kings Road, the closest bus stop is half a minute away on the Kings Road. There are three supermarkets within a 5 minute walk, many restaurants to choose from, good pubs,a variety of shops and 2 very popular coffee shops a few minutes walk away.

The area is very popular with families due to the ease of transport into the City Centre, the village atmosphere that Fulham exudes and the incredible amount of facilities close by. It is a perfect area to live in the city, and a perfect area to stay while visiting London.

Why Gillie chose London

We lived in Fulham for many years, before moving out to the country. This is an area we have always loved, and wouldn't choose to be anywhere else! It has so much to offer; it is close to the main attractions that London has to offer, and yet retains a village atmosphere. We love the local restaurants and there are some new, wonderful cafes for a mid-morning coffee or a light lunch.

What makes this apartment unique

The flat has been converted in the last few months, turning from a dark warren of small rooms into a spacious light-filled flat. We knew we could create this by adding large windows, light decking on the patio and with the main living area on the top floor, there is always plenty of light. Burlington road is quiet and because it is so close to the tube, we have a 2 minute walk home late at night, which is a huge bonus.

Lovely family home stay in London

We are a family of 4 adults and 2 children and had an excellent stay in this well presented, 2 floor, home. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and were very flexible about the checking in and out times. The local area itself is worth spending time in with Bishops Park in particular being a big hit with the children. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from locally. Putney Bridge station is a 2 minute walk away and bus stops are even closer so it's easy to get to other parts of London, the number 22 goes to Piccadilly Circus.

The house itself consists of the first and top floors with 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 shower rooms on the first floor. All rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The top floor has access to a safe outside sitting area as well as an open kitchen/diner/lounge area providing what was needed for a comfortable stay.

Newly renovated flat in Fulham

Our family of 5 stayed in Gillie's flat for a week in December. We found it clean and comfortable, well equipped and in a very convenient location for the tube, buses and local shops. We really couldn't fault anything about our stay and happily recommend it for your visit to SW London.

Excellent séjour.

Nous étions 4, deux adultes de 66 ans chacun et nos deux petits-enfants de 8 et 6 ans dont c'était le premier voyage à l'étranger. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine. L'appartement est spacieux, propre et clair. La station de métro Putney Bridge sur la District Line est à 5 minutes à pied donc facile d'accès. Ensuite, en 20 minutes on est au centre de Londres. Une épicerie est à environ 10 minutes à pied. Des bus passent également à proximité. Les taxis sont faciles à réserver et ponctuels. La propriétaire et sa fille ont été charmantes, faciles à contacter et répondant rapidement aux questions, tant pendant la préparation que pendant le séjour. Satisfaction générale pour les 4 occupants.

Très bon séjour dans cet bel appartement

Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans cet appartement parfaitement conforme à la description.

Le quartier est sympa, tout près de la Tamise avec toutes les commodités (commerces, superettes, restaurants et pubs bien sûr) à pied dans un rayon de 10mn.

Le métro et le bus sont à moins de 5mn à pied. C'est donc très pratique pour tous les déplacements. De plus de Victoria prendre le métro District Line en direction de Richmond ou Ealing Broadway peu importe. Descendre à Earl's Court et prendre la direction de Wimbledon (en principe le quai juste en face). Descendre à la station Putney Bridge (compter 20mn de métro). La propriétaire est très conviviale et très sympathique. Nous avons séjourné à 4 adultes et 2 ados sans aucun problème et nous serions bien contents de pouvoir y retourner un jour. Merci encore à Gillie et à Hannah.

They made it obvious that they loved the apartment, they were courteous, easy, and left the flat incredibly clean and tidy. AND, they left us a bottle of wine as a thank you! Excellent séjour dans un très bel appartement

Nous avons réservé très tardivement notre appartement pour notre séjour à Londres. La propriétaire nous a répondu très rapidement et très gentiment. Très bon accueil à l'arrivée et départ facile et rapide. Excellent séjour dans ce très bel appartement refait a neuf et chaleureux.Très bonne accessibilité au centre de Londres par le métro ( District line).

Fulham lies on the left bank of the Thames, between Putney and Chelsea. Although situated near the heart of the city, it retains its unique village atmosphere and is renowned for its choice of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, cinemas and parks. Fulham Palace, the former official home of the Bishop of London and now a museum, is a 5 minute walk away. It is situated in Bishops Park, an area recently restored to include an 'urban beach', ornamental lake, picnic area, 3 major play areas for children and a botanical garden. The park is situated by a stretch of the Thames, and is a haven for locals, with a wonderful tree-lined avenue by the river, and views of Putney bridge and Putney Boat Clubs on the South side. There are dog-free areas for children, including a huge sandpit which is hugely popular for local families. There are also 6 tennis courts which can be booked ahead of time. The home of the renowned Fulham Football Club is at Craven Cottage, next to Bishops Park.

Other parks include Eel Brook Common, Parsons Green, and the exclusive Hurlingham Club, the historic home of British Polo.

There is a nearby public swimming pool, library, art galleries, and good local pubs including the famous 'White Horse Pub' on Parsons Green and the 'Harwood Arms', the only pub in London to receive a Michelin Star. There are many restaurants to choose from the the immediate area, and organic food shops and coffee bars have become very popular in the area. There are many boutiques on the Kings Road and Fulham Road and antique shops are a common sight on the Lillie Road and Munster Road.

There are excellent transport links to the Centre of London, with frequent buses from the Fulham Road and Putney Bridge tube station only a 2 minute walk away. There are also buses linking Fulham to Hammersmith Underground, where many connections can be made to different areas of the city.

There are shopping malls and river pubs in Putney, a short walk across Putney Bridge. One of these pubs, the Duke's Head, has frequent live music bands, which are very popular in the area. There are also more parks and commons for walks, and a river walk which stretches for many miles along the Thames.
