Our maisonette is situated on popular Silver Street and has private access at ground floor level (below our other lovely maisonette - see owners direct: code number 8134873). The property has a small entrance hall with an elegant wide staircase leading off to first floor bedrooms and bathroom . Also off the hall is a good sized lounge with original period features including a large bay window and careful attention to furnishing and décor to complete the period feel in keeping with the lovely seaside setting. Through the lounge you will find a spacious and bright dining room with again, lots of attention to décor , a great room to eat together or sit around the table and enjoy our selection of games. The kitchen is bright , newly fitted and well equipped. It leads out to a small outside space which catches the afternoon sun. Upstairs we have two bedrooms , the main bedroom has a lovely period feel and is very bright having a large bay and another large sash window. It is furnished in keeping with the period of our property with a touch of glamour and romance ! The second bedroom has twin beds. We have used a seaside palette in this room and it also has a large sash window, making it a bright and welcoming space. The bathroom is of family size with lots of space and we have again tried to maintain the period , seaside theme . The landing and staircase area that links the two floors is also spacious and gives a great feeling of space to our property. Our property is comprehensively alarmed for smoke and carbon monoxide. Please note this is a NON SMOKING accommodation and we allow one small dog.

About Jenny Rogers
We are Jenny and Lee Rogers. We have always loved Whitby and finding ourselves spending more and more weeks up there over the years , we decided to buy our own place there (much to the delight of our children and grandchildren ). We spend about 6 weeks to 8 weeks per year in the property and provide you with the opportunity to share it the remaining times.

Why Jenny Rogers chose Whitby
We bought this maisonette because we already owned the maisonette above it - Chimchimney, 15a Silver Street. Being the bottom two floors this maisonette provides an easier access than Chimchimney and provides a more generous level of accommodation having the benefit of a kitchen and bathroom extension to the rear. The property also has a small south facing outdoor space to the rear, ideal for parking bikes or dogs. We love its location and easy access it offers to Silver Street which is rapidly obtaining its own identity as a shopping street with craft shops, fish and chip shop, cheese shop, bistro, etc. P.S Jenny thinks that it gives you a hug !
What makes this Apartment unique
It provides an extremely spacious accommodation for a 4-person property with direct access to Silver Street. The main bedroom is spectacular with period furniture a large bay window . The location is perfect to explore all aspects of the town. The car park 20 yards away can be a blessing when there are no spare spaces to be found on the roads.

It was a cosy, clean maisonette. I found it very welcoming and like a home away from home. Great central location, very close to everything you needed. A five minute walk away from the beach (with a slow dog!)

This is a nice house, well presented and in a good location. It was clean and tidy and feels like being in a home. I would have liked to have a washing machine rather than a dishwasher (as space would be an issue for this) as we were there for the week and had planned on doing some washing of clothes when we were there. I struggled with the mattresses as we are used to having a firm mattress and these aren't. The house is just off the Flowergate and near to the bridge that goes over the estuary. Everything is nearby. There is a fish and chip shop nearby, Mrs Bothams is very close and a car park virtually opposite.

Our 'Winter Place'
We stayed at A Summer Place between Christmas and new Year 2017 and what a find, this place is amazing, very central, clean and really well equipped and the bonus was that it was also dog friendly, our 1 year old cocker spaniel had a ball.
we were so impressed that we have booked again for next year, we are bringing more family this time and have also booked ChimChimney so we can all come and enjoy a relaxing few days after Christmas

Best restaurants are on Tripadvisor but we love Hadleys for fish and chips, Beckets for cake and coffee treats, Dittos for dining treat, Cosa Nostra for Italian meal and Humble Pie for best value good grub.

Changeover Day: The property would need to be vacated by 10:00 and would be available from 15:00. Off-peak short breaks may be flexible-please ask.
