About the property

A luxurious cottage nestled in a rural hamlet by a stream - spacious yet cosy

A former dairy building, our cottage has been lovingly upgraded to provide spacious accommodation described by recent guests as 'a hidden gem'. With its own private garden, glorious walks from the front door and high quality furnishings it really is a 'sublime hideaway' (as described by another recent guest). Sparkling wine and other little treats greet your arrival. Suitable for couples and dogs welcome.

Fantastic cottage with lovely views and a great ‘welcome basket’. Beautiful location and countryside and wildlife. This is such a hidden gem and we are sure to return.

A great place to relax

  • 5 of 5

The welcome pack was the best we have ever had in 30 years of self catering...home made scones, a bottle of Prosecco, jam, butter and Cornish clotted cream - a touch of class. Also included milk, bread, crisps and lots of different teas. The cottage is clean and cosy. No cheating on quality., everything was put in with care. King size comfy bed with high quality bedding. The wood burner in the lounge was fabulous..given we had a few minus zero evenings/nights. Lots of walks on your doorstep and our collie enjoyed just snuffling about to his heart's content. Took the opportunity of doing all the walks recommended by the owner. No need to move your car for good walks, Reasonable Internet but limited to no mobile signal in the cottage. That was perfect...no one could get hold of me from work! Kelso is about 8 minutes drive away and there are shops to stock up. So no need to bring lots of supplies. I would certainly return for a period of relaxation...great for stress busting.

Accommodation is great and well kept.

We had a nice time staying here. It was perfect for what we were looking for. Great for walks and to chill out. If you are wanting to go into Kelso or any other towns then you do need to go by car. I would recommend this for a nice relaxing break.

A really wonderful holiday - utter heaven

  • 5 of 5

The owner couldn't have been more helpful or the welcome basket more inviting! The cottage is spacious yet utterly cosy. So warm despite the freezing weather outside and beautifully clean. The most comfortable bed we have ever stayed in and the fluffy bathrobes were pure indulgence. So many spoiling touches to make the stay even more special. We had our dog with us and we could walk for miles through glorious countryside right from our front door. Can't recommend it enough.

Excellent relaxing stay in a delightful cottage

  • 5 of 5

Easy to find, rural wee cottage, modernised to a high standard. Centrally located for travelling throughout the borders and only minutes away from Kelso which has all necessary amenities. We had a great break and our dog enjoyed her walks in the surrounding countryside. Highly recommended, thank you.
