Lovely, cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

Adorable and cozy little cottage with high-quality finishes throughout. We very much appreciated the goodies that awaited us upon arrival. We brought our dog with us and took advantage of the proximity to Edinburgh. Nearby Kelso has lots to offer, and we absolutely loved the seclusion of the cottage, despite its proximity to all of the activities!

Great property for a quiet stay.

  • 4 of 5

Lovely cottage for two people. Great welcome pack left by owners. Lovely area, quiet with great walks and scenery. Kelso is nearby which is one of the better Borders towns. Cottage is advertised as having wifi however this is not really the case. It's VERY limited, doesn't support streaming or anything apart from occasional emails. Also, no phone signal on most networks. The owners black lab likes the cottage too and despite being chased, wandered in several times over the weekend much to our dogs annoyance. The weather was so warm we had the doors open for air. All in all, good break with amazing weather.

Owner's Response: Dear Mr Parker, thank you very much for taking the time to write a review and its always good to get feedback. We are having superfast Fibre Optic Broadband installed at the moment (you may have seen the Openreach vans parked in the village) so our internet the past week or so has been more erratic than normal as they are carrying out surveys. I must apologise if you were hoping to stream movies etc - that just isn't possible at the moment and this was explained in the Welcoming Letter which accompanied your Welcome Pack of fresh scones, bread and chilled Prosecco for your arrival. Thank you for your observations about Bibi, our very affectionate black lab, and I am delighted to confirm that we are having a new gate installed to prevent her disturbing any future guests. I do hope that we see you and your dogs again and thank you again for taking the time to write a review. Best wishes, Miranda

Comfortable cottage in a location great for exploring the Borders, Northumberland and Coastal areas

  • 5 of 5

Great rural, quite location. Ideal for walking our dog and exploring the Borders, Northumberland National Park and Coastal areas. Cottage itself was comfortable with quality accessories such as the bed, towels, feather pillows and duvet. Miranda was helpful and very welcoming. We had a lovely holiday and would highly recommend this cottage.
