A cutting edge, eco friendly beach house situated in the original part of Rhosneigr and close to the beaches. This avant garde residence offers stylish, chic, spacious accommodation and innovative technology to make your stay very comfortable.
The ground floor consists of 2 spacious, bright double bedrooms with oak flooring, 2 wet rooms/bathroom and utility room (washer/dryer) with porcelain tiled under floor heating. The first floor is light and capacious incorporating an open plan dining / living area with fully equipped kitchen (oven/microwave/dishwasher/freezer/fridge/coffee machine/wine cooler). Oak flooring throughout. A 'Morso' wood burning stove provides radiant heat and a romantic glow for those nights with a chill in the air when you want to curl up with a good book, watch a film, or just chat. Large double aspect folding sliding doors open onto a south facing cantilevered balcony with views of the sea and mountains.
The property is not suitable for children between the ages of 'walking' and 10. No pets - sorry.
The house is a recent self build. It is a home, not a business. The calendar is a rough guide to availability only. We are flexible* on start dates, arrivals and departures. The restriction on small children is due to the amount of interior glass and highly polished surfaces. Babies are fine. Please feel free to contact us with any additional enquiries you may have.

RAF Valley (which is 1 mile to the north of Rhosneigr) is where the UK's future fighter pilots train prior to moving on to Tornado and Typhoon jets. RAF Valley is also home to the Search and Rescue (SAR) Force headquarters which fly the venerable yellow Sea Kings that can be seen all over the country and in the Falklands.
Hi, my name is Jackie. I am from Manchester. I am a human rights specialist and a practicing aromatherapist. I love being by the sea and purchased this property from a lovely couple who self built it, pouring their heart and soul into designing a place that provides stillness, warmth, calmness and a great deal of fun. I stay here as often as possible as it provides fantastic respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday living, restoring my energy and focus.

The property in my opinion is in the best part of Anglesey - near the best surfing beach, a short walking distance to the sea and back. There are just about the right amount of surf shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and local facilities to keep its hamlet like appeal and within driving distance of larger supermarkets and shops if needed. Anglesey has some very unique features, but for me the tranquility of the island is the best feature. Placed well for getting to Ireland, Wales and England in a day trip, it provides a great base for either staying put or exploring further afield.
The property, self built, shows great attention to small detail such as the positioning which makes best use of views for sunsets and the sea. It has a Low Allergen Environment and minimalist style which provides calmness and tranquility. Its openness, enhanced by the balcony area on the first floor provides a sense of being part of nature whilst protected from some of the harsher elements. It is well placed in a quirky backwater allowing access to the sea through a quiet grassed lane.
We really enjoyed our stay at Shearwater. The house was in immaculate condition and everything was provided for our comfort including a log burner with which to create a cosy environment in the evening.
There were plenty of restaurants with good food and the kitchen was well equipped.
There was a splendid beach less than three minutes from the house and we enjoyed visiting sights such as Plas Newydd, home of the Marquess of Anglesey, with picturesque views of Snowdonia.
The owners Wayne and Jan were very helpful and the communication was good.
We had the most enjoyable stay.Very relaxing and Jackie made the booking and arrival so easy. Eco lodge was modern,bathrooms ,kitchen ,heating all just right.
Nestled in this lane close to the beach is a lovely modern property with all the comforts I finds in exceptional homes. We knew what we hired from the photos on this website, however, seeing the property and the way it is maintained will make you fall in love with this house.
The house is very well kept and clean which makes you want to leave it in the pristine condition one finds it.
The owner has also taken the trouble to outline and explain everything in detail including information on all the appliances in the house.
She is also very efficient with queries.
This property is highly recommended and would definitely visit again.
Had a lovely stay at Shearwater, didn't want to leave, the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing break. Very comfortable with all the homely comforts, beach on your doorstep and some very enjoyable restaurants. We especially enjoyed our meal at the "Oystercatcher". We were very lucky with the weather especially for October so we even got to enjoy sitting on the balcony.

From the moment we approached Shearwater we were extremely impressed. The house is stunning outside and inside - modern, stylish, spacious and homely. The open plan living space upstairs works perfectly for a family as you can make use of the different spaces without being separated. The sea/mountain views from the windows and balcony are amazing. The house was spotlessly clean and well maintained with everything in excellent condition. Rhosneigr is a charming place with beautiful beaches (fantastic rock pools) and a great selection of quality eateries - we particularly enjoyed the crepes at Mojo's. We didn't venture far during our stay as Rhosneigr has everything you need for a great holiday. Jackie the host was helpful and friendly throughout even being kind enough to return a lunch bag that we accidently left behind. We would not hesitate to book this house for any future visits to Angelsey.
Lovely, contemporary house, in quiet, but close proximity to the beaches, walks, restaurants etc. The house was easy to find and spotlessly clean. Our stay was too short as there is so much to do on Anglesey, eg Snowdonia, walking the coastal paths, or chilling out on the sandy beaches. Our friend enjoyed the zip wire experience at Bethesda.
Shearwater is a beautiful, contemporary, comfortable experience, space and place for the ultimate retreat. Well equipped with everything one could need and more. Ever so comfy furniture and beds, lovely sparkly kitchen, living spaces and of course the bathrooms. Mod cons throughout offer that luxurious five star appeal.
Wonderful views out across the bays and off into Snowdonia's majestic mountain range. Shearwater is nestled within a peaceful area, close to unique beaches, rivers, lakes, skerries, dunes, woodlands, meadows, bays, lighthouses and all the fab amenities one can explore, and within easy reach to other regional visitor attractions. It was great to just roll out of the house and be so close to the beach and range of other experiences on offer provided by this awe inspiring island community.
Having briefly stayed overnight at Shearwater earlier in the year for a day's business meeting at Treborth Botanic Gardens, it was a must to come back over summer. Yes, just as I remembered it but with added days to enjoy such a diverse array of activities for our lil family both indoors and out. Just a stones throw away from the comfort of Shearwater are special interest activities which were all good value, from kayaking, paddle boarding, kite surfing, snorkelling, diving and so on and so forth. Afterwards once dried off back at Shearwater, back out for a meander through the mix of local artisan, crafts, surf shops and eateries round and about is great to treat oneself and embrace the chilled out, hidden jem of the place. Back to the warmth and luxury of Shearwater to rest, relax and feel rejuvenated. Such a safe place, accessible and a hidden jem for those lucky to come across it. Excellent proximity to Holyhead for trips to Ireland and beyond but also close to all main transport routes and hubs to the rest of Wales and beyond.

Rhosneigr is blessed with one of the most beautiful unspoilt award winning coastlines in the UK. It offers three sandy beaches with facilities for kite surfing, sailing, jet skiing and of course safe family swimming. The high street has bistros, pubs, and well stocked food stores. At the far end of the village is the Anglesey Golf Club 18 hole links course. Further afield there is the Snowdonia National Park for walkers, castles to explore, Go Karting, Sea World, Butterfly World and many other attractions to suit all the family.
Anglesey is one big outbound adventure island with its own micro climate and far from the madding crowd.
Other Activities: Kite surfing; canoeing; Go Karting; National Trust properties; bird sanctuaries; painting; library; lake.
Golf: Royal Anglesey Golf Club course in Rhosneigr is 400 yards away and is an 18 holes links course (6330 yards, Par 71), set amongst sand dunes, it is renowned for its excellent greens and numerous streams. This golf course is used for North Wales County championship matches and because of its even nature, it is a fair test for golfers of all abilities. There are a further 5 golf courses on the Island all within 25 minutes drive.
