The unbroken 26 mile long Hadrians cycleway between Maryport and Silloth, and the miles and miles of beach make this a great place to get out and explore. Nearby there is also the aquarium, Roman and maritime museums, go karting, climbing cave and wall, and some of the best golf in the country. Set within a conservation area and AONB, Allonby is also perfectly situated for birdwatching along the Solway Estuary, as well as providing some absolutely stunning sunsets. Keswick, 26 miles.
