A great base for a family to discover north and mid Wales, Cheshire, surrounding counties and the historic walled town of Chester. . Set in 13 acres of beautiful Cheshire woodland, Woodland Retreat is perfect for families who love the great outdoors. Situated in the grounds of the owner&rsquo;s home, this well-proportioned holiday home provides comfortable accommodation that is both spacious yet homely. There are three good sized bedrooms and the master bedroom, which is located on the ground floor next to the family bathroom, is ideal for guests that are less mobile. Downstairs there is a cosy living room, spacious kitchen and a separate dining room which overlooks, and has access to, the enclosed garden. Outside, guests are free to explore Calveley Woods with its meandering paths, seating areas and pond. The owner runs regular Forest Schools and woodland-themed parties and activities such as den building, art and mini beast trails (activities at cost, to be arranged directly with the owner subject to availability). Of course there is lots to see and do outside of the property grounds and it is well located for exploring all that Cheshire and its neighbouring counties have to offer. Woodland Retreat is located in the small village of Calveley which is just 5 miles from Tarporley and 6 miles from Nantwich. The area offers some great walking and cycling opportunities including walks along the Shropshire Union Canal which is within 5 miles of the property. The Sandstone Trail is also close by. Other activities available locally include golf, horse riding and fishing. The historic city of Chester with its famous race course, excellent shopping, city walls and fantastic selection of bars and restaurants is just 16 miles away. Should you wish to venture further afield, the well-known cities of Liverpool and Manchester can both be reached in just under an hour by car. Families with children will love Chester Zoo, Blue Planet Aquarium and Go Ape at Delamere Forest which are all within a half hour drive. Alternatively, why not experience motor racing at Oulton Park (15 minutes). North Wales is also very accessible from here. Llangollen as well as well-known coastal resorts such as Rhyl and Prestatyn can all be reached in approximately 1 hour by car.
