This splendid coastal holiday cottage is perfect for couples and small families looking for a break in the beautiful countryside. . This splendid, Victorian, terraced cottage provides light and airy holiday accommodation, which has been very comfortably furnished and tastefully designed throughout. The open plan living/dining room has a lovely gas fire on the wall, and doors that lead out onto the patio garden. Being located on a steep hill, the garden has steps leading up to two further tiers, the top one being a lovely spot to savour the sea glimpses. From the entrance hall, there is a feature internal stone wall, believed to be part of the old stables, which leads into the well-fitted kitchen. Upstairs there are two stylishly presented bedrooms, a sitting area on the landing and a superb feature bathroom with a roll top bath and vaulted beamed ceiling. The popular seaside resort of Ventnor is a lively town with various shops, eateries, cafes and pubs, it also has attractive Victorian architecture, a popular sand/shingle beach and a promenade serving freshly caught fish. The picturesque village of Bonchurch is close by, famous for its literary visitors including Charles Dickens and George Bernard Shaw, and has a quieter unspoilt beach, caf&eacute; and historic church. Discover places of interest locally, including Ventnor Botanic Gardens and Isle of Wight Studio Glass. Slightly further afield, Blackgang Chine and the spectacular rock formations of The Needles, as well as pretty thatched villages such as Old Shanklin and Godshill. Other attractions include sailing at Cowes, a donkey sanctuary, museums, Isle of Wight Pearl, a zoo and a castle.
