Tilbury View, as the name suggests, is set above the village of West Bagborough on the southern slopes of the Quantock Hills with spectacular panoramic views. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this area is famous for the poets Coleridge and Wordsworth who lived and wrote here. Set within the grounds of the owner’s quaint 20-acre smallholding of sheep and ponies, this cottage is perfect for couples looking for absolute peace and quiet. It commands stunning views across Taunton Deane, the Blackdown Hills and west over Exmoor National Park. It was once part of the Cothelstone Estate and has beautiful parkland immediately below. This contemporary holiday property is a barn apartment, with high vaulted ceilings, oak floors, a fabulous glass apex window at one end of the living room, bespoke kitchen and a Victorian brass bed. Enjoy walking and cycling over a network of footpaths and bridleways across open moorland, wooded coombes and rolling countryside. Local attractions include the West Somerset Steam Railway, Exmoor National Park, Hestercombe Gardens, Dunster Castle and Mill and the coast at Kilve Beach. Complimentary newspapers of your choice and a fridge stocked with breakfast provisions are provided (bacon, eggs, sausages, bread, butter, orange juice, milk, tea and ground coffee) to help guests unwind from the very start of their holiday. There is an exceptional local country pub with restaurant within walking distance and village amenities are just a short drive away, making this a perfect location for a relaxing stay.
