In a rural countryside setting, this Grade II, thatched cottage boasts a wealth of exposed beams and wooden floors.. A semi-detached, thatched cottage, set on the owners’ small farm overlooking open countryside, Rookery Farm Cottage is a Grade II listed holiday property with a wealth of exposed beams and floor boards with rugs. Set over three floors, there is room to spread out, the living room has a woodburner, the dining room has French doors to the garden and the kitchen has bespoke units and a Suffolk brick floor. Situated on the edge of the village of Yoxford, known as the garden of Suffolk because of the surrounding fruit farms and parkland, the village is well-served with a grocers, public houses and a couple of antique shops. Every August, Yoxford has a highly regarded arts festival. Well-placed for the heritage coastal region lying midway between Southwold and Aldeburgh. Nearest beach is at Dunwich, 5 miles away. Coastal, heath and woodland walking and cycling abound with many designated paths. Fishing nearby at Sibton lake, leisure centre with pool in nearby Leiston and good rail links from Darsham station, 1 mile. Also convenient for Snape Maltings and RSPB Minsmere.
