This charming semi-detached house sits in one of Cornwall’s prettiest fishing villages, with narrow winding lanes, galleries, quaint shops and a picturesque working harbour. Pick up some fresh fish or seafood for dinner, or book an exciting sea fishing trip to one of the many wrecks just off the coast. If you don’t fancy cooking, then Forget-me-not is a short walk from the village pubs and restaurants that serve the local catch. The area has a historic connection with the Lost Gardens of Heligan, which lie just outside the village, a beautiful Victorian garden complete with jungle walks and giant sculptures. There are many shops in the village that cater for all tastes. A ferry sails from the harbour across St Austell bay to the beautiful town of Fowey, home to Daphne Du Maurier and a royal yacht club. A short drive from Mevagissey will bring you to Pentewan with its defunct harbour, now home to sea birds. Pentewan has a dive centre, and is the start of an off road trail ideal for walking or cycling, which can link up with a network of cycle trails taking you to the Eden Project and beyond. Bike hire is also available locally. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
