This former forester’s cottage is set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park with views to Mount Cader Idris from the garden. It is encompassed by the 9,000-acre Coed-y-Brenin Mountain Forest Park with mountain biking, canoeing, walking trails past waterfalls, gorges and goldmines, in addition to the Go Ape high ropes adventure. A well-appointed, cosy, semi-detached holiday cottage, it lies on the edge of a small hamlet with easy road access to the market town of Dolgellau, 5.5 miles, which has an arts centre hosting a variety of music nights, and is also the start of the famous Mawddach Trail along the breathtaking estuary. Barmouth is 12 miles with beaches and pleasure boat trips and Porthmadog where you can pick up the Ffestioniog and Welsh Highland railways, as well as visit the famous Portmerion village. For fishing enthusiasts, Lake Trawsfynydd , the Rivers Mawddach and Wnions, and Llyn Cynwch are all close by. Also within easy driving distance are Harlech with its castle and the renowned golf course at St Davids. Whilst en route to Llanberris and Snowdon, a stop off at Betwsy-y-Coed to take in the Swallow Falls and quaint shops is a must. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 0.3 miles.
